I only watched the highlights. His stats look good and he seems get better as the game progresses. I hope we put pressure on him early before he gains any confidence.
75.7% completion percentage
733 yards so far with about 10 yards per attempt.
7 TDs
281 yards on the ground averaging 4.4 per attempt
Now the bad:
8 sacks
2 interceptions

Look at how many times he has thrown.....in their beatdown of UGA in particular.

Tell us LSU fans how much he sucks, and how much we are better

Id take that
In a heartbeat! That was not the point. How does he flare against our defense (not the fatigued 2nd half one that showed up against Florida). Yeah, it depends on our offense.

So far, his stats look great. And, I'm looking forward to our D to get their big win in beating the #3 team and get their pride back.
On offense, I'm hoping we score at least 10 and not go 3 and out on every drive. Doable I think!

One of the big reasons he's successful is b/c he is pretty mobile. If receivers are covered he tucks it a gets yards. They will also have 5-6 plays of designed runs for him. Hopefully the Dline doesnt get out of position and allows him to pick up big yds on plays that break down.

i've seen him a few times this year, and i haven't been impressed. i don't think he does much of anything against LSU's defense.

He's very similar to Matt Flynn.....he is efficient and is mobile enough to bail out a bad offensive play call. He's also got enough speed to make plays.
He's a good QB.
He's a good QB.

The guy is tough. I haven't seen him get rattled by pressure and he's not afraid to take a hit.
He doesn't throw a lot, but he's completing like 84% of his passes over the last three games against SEC teams. He was 20-21 against Missouri for 95%. That ain't easy against anybody. It also tells you their WRs catch the ball. He only threw 10 times against Georgia, but he had a 160+ yards on six completions and a TD to go with 70+ yards rushing and another TD.
He's a get-it-done QB. To beat LSU (with our offese as it currently is), you don't need a lot of passing (as Florida showed). You just need a few effective drives. Third down stops will be key for LSU in this game because that's when his running skills really factor into their offense.

FWIW, Lattimore had 7 of the 21 catches, Kenny Miles (our other RB) had 2 more, the TE's had 5 more, and the the other 7 were spread out to the WR's. We were beating them underneath when they either stacked the box with 7 or only rushed 4 and dropped 7 to cover the WR's.
Connor Shaw 20-21 vs Missouri
