So glad to see this legend get a National Championship ring. He started it all by staying home. Thanks #3 and congrats!!

I was like 13 when Faulk came in. I remember how exciting he was. Rondel, Faulk, Foster, Tyler. Loved those guys. I think the year before Faulk came Kendal Cleveland was the starting RB. Dude looked hard as frick but wasn’t very good.

True. He was Gerry D's first big recruit. Wasn't he leaning toward Colorado at the time?

And he stayed his senior year when Alan faneca was the first to ever leave LSU early and start the new terrible trend of juniors leaving.

He was leaning toward Notre Dame. Faulk had an infant daughter, and that was a big factor in his decision to stay in state.

The trend didn't start at LSU. These guy want to go to the NFL. The more they get to the NFL, the faster they get there, the better recruits we get. The more we win.
I'd rather a bunch of die hard 5 year seniors, but its not realistic in todays game.
