what I don't understand is why the same people that predicted 9-3 at the beginning of the season are the ones that are whining about it now....

It is not possible for basically high school players with no college development win a NC. It is not logical to say Saban developed most players more than Miles outside of the 2005 season.

Because there are lots of generally misrable people in this world who can't stand to be happy about anything. They will ALWAYS bitch about something.

All I know and all any reasonable person knows is that 5-3 in the SEC is an improvement from 3-5, results wise. A top 15 ranking is better than no ranking. Both of those show a better direction for the LSU program after the 08 season than what we had after the 08 season.

BTW, I'm awake and I still enjoy LSU footall...sorry that you can't feel the same.

Whether you like this staff or not, anyone who believes games are won solely on talent and coaches have nothing to do with the success of a team has never played a coached sport.

coaches lose games. coaches also win games. talent alone means nothing.

About 90% of the post whores who are constantly blaming the coaches fit this catagory.

Les is an awesome coach. He is the greatest coach in the history of coaches. He has a want for excellence with a sincere integrity. His only problem is that the LSU fans abandon him in the 3rd quarter. If they would stay and cheer through the end, he'd win NCs every year.

Look at the facts, his teams start off strng and then fade in the 3rd, the fans leaving just when Les needs them most.

So, the reason we aren't undefeated is our sucky fans.

I'm not sorry for 'em. Screw 'em. They will alway bitch about something - can't even acknowledge the win last night...within minutes of the game they were all hiding in a thread that pertained to CLM's vocal skills.

There is no doubt in my mind that, without any coaching staff at all and simply left to their own devices, this team goes at least 9-3 and maybe better.

I love the mentality of some who use the worst extreme as the measuring stick. As long as this season was marginally better than our worst season of the decade, everything is great.

Mediocrity RULES!

The coach of any high school team currently in the Louisiana high school football playoffs could have taken us to at least 9-3.

So Miles is a worse coach that the one that got beat by ULM, UAB and Utah? Ok

Arguing that Miles > Saban is a tough sell. Kind of like Johnny Cochran arguing OJ's innocence. There are a few "jurors" on this site that seem convinced you are right. Any objective party can plainly see Saban > Miles. Only the truly enlightened Positiger thinks Miles > Saban.

This is the MOST STUPID STATEMENT EVER.

So you're saying that a physically talented group of 19-20 year-olds would self organize and elect the starting line-up?? Then democratically decide on which plays to run??

You have proven how little you know about football and life in general.

How old are you, boy?
