Confused why OSU is higher than LSU

I don't really watch too much college but I just checked the rankings for the first time.
I was wondering how OSU is rated higher than LSU when LSU has at least 1 real win??

It really doesn’t matter. We play #1 #7 and #10. Win those and everything is cream cheese I promise.

Because even though they haven't played anyone, their offense is even sicker than ours, and their defense looks just as lethal as their offense. Add in the fact that it's a northern blue blood program, and of course they are ahead of us.

Who cares. Weekly rankings are absolutely meaningless right now.
The only rankings that matter are the ones the playoff committee releases. And they haven’t started yet.

We were in front of them. But they jumped us during the bye week.

Wisconsin is going to beat them this weekend.

They won a huge game over one of college footballs greatest teams. The mighty Nebraska. Oh. Wait. It’s not 1997.

Actually most of the rankings the CFP committee releases don't matter either, only the last one matters.
Ask the 2nd to last week #4 teams who got jumped at the end whether that 2nd to last one ever mattered.

OHhhh, so a scrub win helps you jump another team, that makes sense
college FB you make no sense.
SO let me get this right, when LSU beats down who ever tomorrow and OSU beats a weak MSU team LSU should rejump them because the TX win is waaaaaaaaay better than MSU win.
RIght?

OSU should be the #1 team in the country. They've thoroughly dominated everyone they've played on both sides of the ball.

It's the defense that nobody gives much credit to. Many see LSU losing 2-3 games over the next 5 weeks. So far it's understandable.

OSU # 1???
am I the only one that noticed OKlah is super good and has a playoff caliber QB and OSU has a rookie coach and qb?
There is some TBD but OK, AL, Clem, LSU/GA, is there really any other options?

I didn’t look at the actual vote totals but it’s possible nobody actually jumped OSU over us.
Example: you get 25 points for a first place vote and 1 point for a 25th place vote. If tOSU was only 5 points behind us in the last poll then it would only take 6 voters who had the Buckeyes 7th or lower moving them up 1 spot and if everyone else kept both LSU and Ohio State where they were the week before then they would jump us in the polls.

No. Not letting said cross divisional scrub score 38 points helps you jump another team.
And it’s a 2 fricking point difference between them so for all intents and purposes, it’s a tie.

Media darlings. I will say though, they have been playing good football but to your point, who have they played?
Rankings right now don't really matter. We keep doing what we've been doing, it'll work itself out.

I know there is more TBD, but what if the season ended today, this would be the rankings, and it is flawed IMO.
Why would they not make them accurate, regardless of the week of the season?

It'll work itself out. As long as we keep doing what we've been doing, don't sweat it.
The season isn't going to end after 4 games. I don't mean to sound like a jerk so please don't take it that way but you can make all the "what if" scenarios you want, it doesn't change the reality of the season.
We have big games coming up, they have what, maybe one big game? And I'm not talking about Michigan.
We keep doing what we've been doing, we'll be awarded for that and will jump ahead of them.
Wait til the first playoff rankings come out, then see where they're at.
It'll be ok.
