If (BIG IF) Mett can't move the ball and starts to have a game like JJ did last Jan. ,Do you think CLM makes a QB change?

Not that I think he will struggle like JJ did,but is just in the back of my mind wondering if coach learned a lesson from last game.

And I already know some of you are gonna have fits over this question, so to you I say

no way.

last yr a QB change could be argued b/c we had two senior QB's both with tons of PT.

this yr we don't. outside of injury, it won't happen.

i wish i could hear the conversation on the head phones between two offensive lineman:

Stud: Coach, what you think here? it's 3 and 11.

miles: How bout the old toss dive?

Stud: that's exactly what i was thinking.

Yeah, let's give Rivers his first real playing time against Bama

my thoughts are , no matter what the situation, Miles doesn't like to take the ball away from his starter. Lee wouldn't have gotten a chance if JJ hadn't gotten in to trouble.

I am not saying he should but other teams have went with a young guy when the starter went down , and the young guy has performed .
IF Mett is struggling and we can't move the ball , why not give someone else a shot to try and do something to help win.

nope. 1)mett is going to play his best game to date.

2)I think we saw enough of lee against bama last year and enough of mett this year to know it would not have made a difference.

No. This team will live and die off its running game and Mett and the WRs.

I can 100% guarantee that neither Rivers, Randall, nor Bolden will touch the field during the game(barring injury to Mett). If CLM benches Mett mid-game to make a change it would be one of the worst coaching moves I have ever seen. Rivers is Mett, except 3 inches taller and no experience. Randall and Bolden haven't touched the field ever and you would be expecting them to come in against Bama and be successful??? Mett is the QB, get behind him as the QB or don't watch LSU football.

So I guess its do or die with Mett?
I just think if one is struggling that bad,
who knows what a young guy can do. If it comes down to it I would try anything to win. I just would not want to see them hang it up cause our QB can't hit our receivers.

Don't get me wrong, I am behind our whole team. was just a question. just curious because it seemed to bite us in the arse last game against them. Now its win or no Miami.

well then the obvious answer is to throw a kid with no experience in against the #1 defense in the country.

basically what happened in '08 with Lee and JJ. They were 3rd and 4th string going into that season. do you remember our QB play in '08? it wasn't exactly stellar

why do you say this? is it an assumption changing qb's would have resulted in a better outcome? a win? i don't see where lee or mett would have come in and won that game for us. Lee curled up in the fetal position the first game against bama.

I guess you are right.
I guess like everyone else last Jan. lost is still fresh. Don't want to lose to them again.
and I honestly do think we are gonna play to a level to get that W.
