If we can’t hit left handed pitching and curve balls we won’t go very far. 4 and 5 place hitters went 0 for 10. Oh bye the way Jobert is terrible against left handed pitchers.

We faced a guy with great stuff but bad control, I’m not worried it’s February.

This is too much reality for the Sunshine Pumpers on here.

LSU will have more experience by the time May rolls around.

Exactly. Team is good not great. Lotta holes. Not nearly the mashers or arms that have been promoted nonstop by the fanboys on this site.

It's 1 game.
Pitching was better than avg. Ump had some questionable calls.
Just wasn't our day.
Don't panic

Got to learn they can't hit every ball out of the park.

And we’re judging this by the 2nd weekend of the season?

You would think that being a baseball school for 4 decades would’ve taught you guys to be patient

It was a bad game. Relax

Or its too much reality for the Gloomy Pumpers that its game 6 of a 50 game season and what the team looks like now will be completely different come postseason.

CWS is not won or lost in February. This is baseball but hope to see more fire and energy from the this team moving forward.

You know the next guy struck out more hitters than the starter right?

No one should melt and this team can still win it all but they need a reality check today and they should be embarrassed by that shite they put on the field

Also Jay made some extremely questionable lineup and sub calls

Today was one of those games that Skip Bertman would describe as a "Flush It" game. You flush the stats and at bats down the toilet and move on to the next day.

Thank you. Not like we were going to go 56-0. We're fine.

The first inning defined this game and that's how it goes sometimes. What can you say, that's baseball....

We still struggle with LHP….but everybody does that’s why LHP is a thing. As far as off speed….we had a dodgy plan against Brecht. We shouldn’t have offered at any off speed. He wasn’t throwing them for strikes either. Just an off day for the offense. We left a ton of runners. Timely hitting is the difference.

Well if Iowa beat the number one team in the nation then they should be the new number one team. If Iowa is the new number one team then they should never lose another game since they are better than anyone else.

And you were spot on. Flipping out over individual losses, especially in baseball, is nuts. I agree with you, we're in good shape.
