It is a call out to the D players too.

Lay off in 2nd halfs, get less respect.

In fact, the way I see it the committee is only echoing Jacoby Stevens. He tried to tell them. Orgeron tried to tell them. Committee agreed.

some plays, like that 85-yard long touchdown pass at the end of the Alabama game, was a fluke.

Allowing a TD in bump and run when you should be playing deep 3 safetys is not a ....fluke

The bullshite they are trying to sell about OSU's defense is better and makes them more complete is total BS. You can argue LSU is more complete because their offense is way better than osu's (as Jordan Rogers just stated on SEC network). They are trying their best to guarantee that OSU gets in the championship.

They pay O to run the team dumbass and that means he can override any gameplan or scheme he wants. How is this so hard for you to understand? It’s really fricking simple.

I've been an aranda fanboy and O doubter from the beginning, but I'm not going to focus this issue on O. I doubt he is going around overhauling his $2.5m DCs game plan.

I’m not blaming O or Aranda but if you don’t think O cant override a gameplan or scheme during a game then I don’t what to tell you. He’s involved in the defense and is aware of what the problems are and it isn’t coaching.

Don’t fall into that big 12 mindset already because the defense is struggling. Every freeking announcer throughout college football has labeled the big 12 the no defense conference and the respect for them stops there.
Just because Aranda only has 6 five star players on D than his usual 9 or 10 five star players he has been blessed with does not give his arse a pass or worthy of excuses.

This is the weakest and most undisciplined Defense that LSU has brought to the table in years but I would bet if you take a poll on how many top D-Coordinators in college football would like to trade places with Aranda 90% would take it before u finished asking the question.

Been saying this ALL year, yet the Aranda "cultists" want to insult you because they are too stupid to deal with the truth. The "defensive genius" SUCKS!!!! Show him the damn door at the end of the year.

What value did you assign NW St? You can't just exclude it from the list.

I didn't. Can't give it a value since they aren't on the list. I just divided by 11 instead of 12. You know of a better way? Anyway, it doesn't matter. Point still stands strong.

They are 63rd ranked in FCS stats. But you can't add that into the equation because it's not apples to apples. Let's just add 63 in and divide by 12:

LSU's average offensive ranked opponent would be 63. Still better than Ohio State's average in offenses they faced this season.

Why does it seem like Dave Aranda fricked your wife? You have an unhealthy hate for the guy.

63 in FCS is theoretically at least several notches below the last ranked FBS team. Conservatively, overall they're 160th at best.

I'm just saying that the methodology to determine those numbers you came up with has some obvious flaws.

I fixed my error. LSU's average offensive ranking for an opponent was 62. OSU's was 82.

That's big time flawed logic. But if you say so.

I just don't buy that Ohio State is quite the world beaters on defense that they are being pimped up to be. I know they're ranked 1st. Still...look at the offenses they're facing week to week. The best offense was Florida Atlantic, at home. The best offense LSU faced was Alabama, in Tuscaloosa. I think they're damn good, but the argument that they're soooo much better than LSU because of their defense is a fricking joke. Just because LSU gets big leads on teams and then the defense goes on cruise control allowing their opponent to put garbage stats up on the board.

Anyway, take it for what it's worth. At least I did a little bit of work, more than shooting from the hip and giving an opinion based on what my eyes see.

I agree with that, now everyone knows that. If Aranda had those kinda results coaching under saban at bama. Aranda would get fired and saban would find some guy to do the job. Hope LSU has a game plan going forward the rest this season or could be his job.

Agreed!!! However the guys we've gotten haven't done the job...Klavon was thought of as a top 3 pass rusher, the year before Klavon signed Andre Anthony was an UA all American as a pass rusher and highly praised at UA practices, ... This year we got Marcel Brooks who looks very very promising and we are DEFINITELY loading up this class.... IMO the weakness lies in the 3 down lineman NEVER getting pressure, they are trying to get DL that can penetrate.... So, they have and are attempting to fix that

Top 15 defense is typical but this year defense is in the mid-40's of the NCAA, average AT BEST.
