Are these guys affiliated with UGA? I think they do a pretty good job of being unbiased if they are, just my personal opinion.

The color guy played for Georgia. It’s similar to Lyn Rollins and Ben McDonald doing most LSU games.

Much more unbiased than Doug Thompson. DT constantly says we/our when talking about LSU and actively cheers over the broadcast

I agree. Rarely do you see SEC baseball guys being unbiased but these guys are doing great.

I can hear them get excited if a Georgia player hits a ball hard but if a Tiger makes a great play on it they seem equally as excited. It’s just nice to see that compared to most of these SEC games.

Doug Thompson is on Lsu’s Radio broadcast. He’s supposed to be biased. Completely different than when you’re doing a regional TV broadcast.

Pulling for your team and being somewhat biased is understandable and even expected. But literally yelling for a ball to get out of the park as Blair is making a call or cheering loudly for a strikeout is totally different IMO

I agree, he needs to chill on that. Good win, Geaux tigers!

I came on to ask the same question. I thought they were actually really good. I assumed they were Georgia guys until Hess rang up someone in the 7th or 8th, and the guy sounded REALLY excited. It made me question if they were truly Georgia guys versus neutral SEC assigned crew.

I thought they did a good job. I’d listen to them again.

I thought those guys did a good job of being unbiased, I thought they were boring though. No personality.

They were Georgia guys, but I agree, they stayed relatively neutral.

A far cry from the likes of watching Alabama or especially South Carolina broadcasts. Kip Bouknight and the other guy for South Carolina complain SO much. Their homerism is fine for radio. Not for televised games.
