What exactly does CT do for LSU basketball? From what I've gathered via the radio and internet, he has the ability to "influence" recruits. He didnt like Trent and LSU sucked at recruiting instate guys. Is this in part because of CT and Trent's relationship or lack thereof?

He and Brady got along and LSU recruited the local kids well including garret,(final four team was all local kids). Is this is a coincidence?

Do you beleive CT sat on his hands while Trent was here, relative to "influencing" recruits because he wasn't a supporter of Trent?

I'm not a huge basketball follower, FYI. TIA

CT publicly bashed TJ. One can only imagine what he was doing privately.

I'd love to know what the point of this guy is in the basketball program. Can't stand hearing about him.

Let's just hire Temple and be done with it. He thinks he runs the show anyway.

Brady had no intentions of getting Garrett, wanted him to walk on. CT got him on board otherwise Big Baby and Taz would have gone out of state. Tubby and UK thought Taz was a lock.

Tyrus Thomas was a fall back guy and no had him blowing up the way he did. He had to redshirt his first year at LSU.

Pretty much. Undermining our prior coach to the detriment of our program because he wasn't given the same access.

His only relevance to the Basketball program was that he broke the color barrier! Thats the only reason why he is still around because of that distinction 40 years ago....he wasnt even that great!

IMO, he's more involved than that. He has alot of connections and I think he has the ability to assist LSU in landing recruits, when he wants to. I could be wrong though.

I'm not getting many answers...

He was the first African American player here, but he was recruited by Press Maravich not Dale Brown.

Did you know that Herman Johnson was the biggest baby ever born in Louisiana? Or was it Trindon Holliday?

Basically, the Baton Rouge area had a flukish run of talent in a 3 year period or so. Even Darrel Mitchell from Lafayette was part of that. All of these kids were local, and the Baton Rouge kids played AAU for Collis Temple. Because of this, Collis Temple sits back and claims to have fed John Brady all of this talent, when in fact, it was just great luck for LSU that all of the kids played within 60 miles of campus.

Never before has that happened, and we might likely never see that again. Therefore, Collis Temple is useless to the LSU basketball program.
