I was super confident as well. I had predicted LSU 3-4 runs and them with 0-1 runs. poop.

Why the hell leave Wehtlzer out there for 101 pitches when you have a 10 run lead after 4 innings and you need all the quality arms you can get coming through the losers bracket. Terrible forward thinking.

After 60 pitches or so, he wasn't going to be able to go for the next immediate game, so ride him as far as you can, and you rest him til Friday?

Throw a few quality relievers 1 inning and they have no trouble with a full days rest. Now your starter goes 50 additional pitches and you lose him for an extra couple days
