LSU fans hurled golf balls at them for picking against the Tigers

I was one of them. I lived in Embassy that semester along the old LSU front nine. Found some golf balls on my walk over and chunked them at Corso along with my buds. Hence the birth of the Gameday Net.

What time would y’all suggest to get there so we can be in the front?

I got there at 5:30 in 2016 and didn't even get in the pit

Block out all bama fans from front if possible !

while at LSU we woke up at the crack for GD on parade grounds. buddy started drinking shroom tea from mellow mushroom (gross purple stuff... do they still have that?) at like 7am. he had a rough day.

LSU Salutes is that weekend. Does that rule out Parade Ground and put it back in Quad like two years ago?

So me and a few friends who are all LSU students have never attended a College Gameday before. We want to be right in the front and make this a day we won’t ever forget! What time would y’all suggest to get there so we can be in the front? Also tell any cool Gameday stories from past times they have been here! Oh and #FreeDevinWhite and STTDRefs

As others have said, to be at the front you probably want to get there at 3am or earlier, just to make sure.

That being said, as a student, being at the front of gameday is not really worth it. I've been to a bunch of gamedays as a student and only was at the front once (2009 UF @ LSU). I'd advise leaving that to others and/or the people that don't plan to drink all day.

Really no chance of sneaking alcohol in if you're up front and you'll end up getting exhausted probably by noon and not really get a chance to have your first drink until after gameday.

The best time I had attending college gameday as a student (probably went about 5-6 times, some at LSU, some away) were showing up about an hour before it starts, standing nearish the back but enough to still get on camera some, and sipping on beers while watching and yelling. That's the way to go.

Also - don't sleep on the Friday night show. Used to be SVP (don't think it is anymore). But that was always fun to be at and he always engaged with the crowd.

Any word on possible locations? Going with the quad again? Parade grounds?

I enjoyed it the year they had it on the Old Front 9. 2008 maybe?

You are correct. But, the best game day sign I have ever seen was from LSU, it's read : Tim Tebow loves Coach Urban Meyer. From top to bottom. Focus on the capital letters in Coach Urban Meyer. The capital letter were highlighted. I still laugh about that sign today.

Yeah I have barely walked by it other than when it was on the old back 9 but that only because I used to tailgate right there.

Since I don’t give a shite about going I mostly care about what it looks like on TV. I find the parade grounds to be too wide open. It’s cool to have the tower in the background but the wide shots look like shite imo.

Given the magnitude of the game, best bet would be to camp there. We got to the front once during the 2007 season but the game was nowhere near the level this one will be...even then we had to get there at like 4-5am

Yep, space wasn't an issue at all.
