Would the new coach be coaching the bowl game?

Based on what you’ve seen where is two more wins
Ulm
Ark nope
A&M nope
A&M might be a stretch but def not impossible to pull off a win there either

I'll allow it. So they actually think the Tigers win six games? Doesn't seem likely at this point in time

LSU could play in the Texas bowl in my backyard and I still wouldn’t go. I’m not supporting this product. If the players and coaches can quit on the team then so can we.

We absolutely can, but not if O mails it in like last week.
It would be great especially if A&M wins out and is a top ten team like we’re thinking they will be. Out of all the streaks that O has ruined it would be nice to keep the home wins against A&M going.

Do they know that the win against Open Date won't count towards the 6?

Will they allow a 5-7 team in a bowl game?
You couldn’t PAY me to watch a bowl that would allow that.

Actually, if SMU goes 11-1 (assuming they beat Houston / lose to Cincinnati) they would be getting screwed having to play a 6-6 LSU instead of a more marquee game against an opponent with at least 8-9 wins.

Hell at this point if we beat FL and the Faggies both this season, I’m okay with it. Sure we got boat raced by Kentucky, and are about to get skull fricked by the Gumps, but at least we beat FL and the Gheys.

SMU is a much better team than LSU at this point in time. The Mustangs are playing outstanding football and are full capable of blowing out the Tigers

No I think we beat those teams at home just because we dont make sense! (see UF game)

The standards are so low for bowl games now

LSU hasn't played in a bowl game before Christmas since 1979.

No. It’s a money loser; however, you get to practice for an extra 30 days (approximately). It is a big deal for the younger players to get these extra reps.
Exactly. This often gets overlooked. I think you are allowed up to 12 bowl practices. You get 15 in the spring. It can be very beneficial to the young guys.

Is it financially worth it to go to a lesser bowl? Seriously. What is the break-even for getting the team and the band to a bowl?
There is always Mons Venus. That would make the trip worthwhile.

They will need the extra revenue, IF they can get a bowl bid.
