I hate the new bats too, but small ball only won because Lsu couldn't make routine plays.

Absolutely agree. I only watch LSU baseball. If LSU weren't in this tournament, I wouldn't watch it. Watching college baseball nowadays isn't much better than having a tooth pulled IMO

Gorilla ball built that stadium, not 2-1 games.

I'm not saying gorilla ball needs to come back but there has to be middle ground in there somewhere.

If the bats and balls and stadium weren't all rigged, LSU makes those same mistakes and still wins 3-2 on Ibarra's two home runs.

And that's sour grapes and I don't care.

Bottom line. We only have a few guys who have power on this team. Seems like Laird is hitting line drives, why is everyone not staying within themselves. We have used these bars and balls a year long. Katz is the only real power we have and will be the only one on the next level to do so. Rymes and Bregman didn't have high averages hitting homeruns.

Giant park + dead bats = small ball bullshite

I really really want to agree wholeheartedly with this but, the ability to field ground balls and throw accurately is not affected by the bullshite dead bats or the giant field. No errors equal LSU 1-0 in the CWS tonight.

Oh my, that would have been a hum dinger for anybody who isn't an LSU fan. A win would have eased a lot of the pain, but who wants to see bunts? It's like a bad fishing trip. Excitement, build up, 3 hours of fishing with 1 fish. LSU drove 4 balls to the warning track and one over the wall. UCLA bunted.

Jacoby has more power than Katz.

Guy was throwing high fastballs which is smart in that ballpark. The problem was we didn't take the approach to NOT swing at them.

ETA: I hope we start pitching up in the zone more. Let them hit fly balls

I fully agree dude.

Ibarra should have had two homers.

Weak bats = the pussification of America.

Its bullshite for sure. Why would you blatantly try and take the home run out of college baseball. I frickin loved the 21-19 games of the the 90's. Even as a small ball team, the HR threat needs to be a part of the game. NCAA needs to correct this. It aint right.

They weren't trying to hit 600 foot home runs. They hit line drives.
