You're really upset Terrace Marshall doesn't wanna risk millions of dollars to play for free on a team that sucks? Terrace Marshall doesn't owe you anything. Yeah, it sucks as a fan, but it is very selfish of you if you are angry about someone trying to protect their future, especially when the team isn't even .500.

But he is letting down his teammates that HE called together just last to try and get them on the same page and then after the next loss he quits on said teammates....

THey owe the University loyalty and to finish their end of the bargain, which is to perform with maturity and respect. Quitting on your team with three games left are neither.

Yeah, he did quit on them. Some things are more important than 3 meaningless football games, TM6 realizes that.

Maybe the team meeting he called didn't go as he hoped. And now he realizes it's time to move on?

They owe us nothing? Ok. Let all the fans stop spending millions of combined dollars propping up kids games and paving the way for spoiled brats to make a living playing said games.

When they end up digging ditches and flipping burgers with their no free scholarships, and no sports to play, because those pesky "entitled" fans stopped paying money to support those sports, they can go ahead and tell us they owe us nothing. Because only then would they be right.

But if they want all of the same opportunities that are afforded to them now, they better remember who butters their bread. And you better remember that, too, before you make another ignorant post about this subject.

I didn’t grow up a Marshall, Shelvin et al fan

My allegiance is LSU, not to these kids.

It was worth it at the beginning of season then? Why? We suck so he said frick it and quit. The mental gymnastics some of y’all try to justify a quitter is impressive. TM6 is and will always be a quitter to his teammates.

And we don’t owe them anything either. Is that fair?

But in reality, Marshall doesn’t have a platform or a market for his athletic talent without the fans.

You think there would be such a thing as modern college athletics if there were no fans? This isn't 1920. The whole system is built upon fan support. The tv viewers, apparel buyers, assess in the stands, and boosters.

He played last night. Was that not a risk?? He played the games before. We’re those not risks?

I agree, they owe us nothing. But that doesn’t mean we can’t call a quitter a quitter.

It's your right to stop giving LSU Athletics money, but LSU football is not gonna stop making money anytime soon, and let's be honest, you're still gonna watch the Bama game this weekend. So go ahead and keep believing he owes you shite because you may or may not have given money to the Athletic dept.

Agree completely. Point still stands that he is not obligated to play 3 meaningless games for our entertainment, and our fan base should be human enough to realize that he is trying to protect his future. We should be happy for him. I am.
