Surprised he hasn't been drafted. Other kickers have been taken and he was probably the best field goal kicker out there

Do you remember watching the NFC Championship game and seeing that game-clinching monster by the LA Rams kicker that would have been good from 75 yards? That’s the kind of kicker the NFL is looking for.
Cole can only plop them in with consistency under 50 yards.

Great accuracy, but I am not sure if he can kick the longer fg’s necessary to have a long NFL career.

He has a national record, and LSU record. He made a 54 yarder vs Miami and 50 vs aTm also

Another problem is he can’t kick off. They have to let the punter kick off or carry another kicker.

This is because you didn’t ask anyone who understands the position and the difference between being a good college K and a professional K.
I’ve told everyone from day 1 that he will not be drafted. He will get a couple of courtesy invites into camps .... maybe.... just maybe get a UDFA offer... but at the end of the day Cole will not make an NFL squad.
And there is no one on this board that would love to see him in the NFL more than me

A few punters drafted, but I think only one PK. Will probably get a FA try somewhere, but 50+ is not his best.

He simply doesn’t have the leg and he kicks it very low
