Great story. I read every word of it. Good to know we have such great young men representing us on our baseball team. Good luck to you, Cole, and keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing!

Very good story. So many times their is a great athlete but he gets passed over due to his size.

Small world, I know the tattoo artist. Lived across the street from me for years until he left his wife.

Cole Drank is awesome at second base and puts the bat on the ball. Hope he has another great season this year. He is an exceptional fielder and will be fun to watch this year.

The MLB is a crap shoot, but you only have to look to Altuve and Bregman as examples of small guys playing in the show, so maybe it's not impossible he could make it one day.

Such a great read. We adopted two girls from Russia. One of them suffered from severe malnutrition for years, and when she arrived here at 12 years old was 4'1" and weighed 42 pounds. Now at 17 she is 4'5" and weighs 85 pounds and is a National champion in acro gymnastics. She has that same drive as Cole. Great story. Thanks for sharing.

Damn, didn't realize he turned down $300k from the Dodgers. I understand why, though, knowing that he grew up dreaming of playing for LSU, and one year just wasn't enough for him.

Good article.

I got to meet Cole's grandfather in Hoover last year. It was awesome getting to listen to him tell stories about Cole growing up.

Thought the article was great. The author of this article is Jeffrey Marx, who also wrote "Walking with Tigers". If you enjoyed this article, would also suggest reading his book.

Great read from a Pilitzer winner. I can relate, as a high school, 4'10" sophomore. Ya gotta have heart !

Fwiw - I have since grown to my present stature of 5'6", and as a result, have dated three ladies in my journey that were my height or shorter - I married all three ??

Expecting his draft position to improve with another good year. Will be fun to follow him in a pro career. Wishing this kiss the best.
