I'm with you CAD. As much as I hated losing to CCU, I like the team and I've followed them through the CWS. I enjoy college baseball, though, so it was good to have a team I wanted to watch. Really hoping they take this. AZ could make a comeback, though, so this isn't over.

Yes it did. Prematurely based on the fact that there was potential to still be playing baseball. Not prematurely based on the expectations of the team.

Its not over yet. Beckwith is at 90 plus pitches so Arizona will get some AB's against a scrub from Coastal.

If you begin with the idea that LSU has a ton of question marks and new starters and believed that hosting a regional was near the ceiling for the team, then earning a National Seed exceeded expectations.
If you believe that by the postseason LSU was worthy of a top 8 seed, then going 1-3 in the postseason against regional 2-seeds wasn't a strong finish. Particularly when LSU outhit the opponent in 2 of the 3 losses.

I go by us replacing 8 of 9 starters and still making it to the supers. That's successful no matter how you slice it, and saying it's a premature exit is just typical of tRant. We had a great year, a year to be proud of. Losing to what appears to be the nation champion doesn't change that.

I think you are missing my point here
. My statement has nothing to do with expectations. When you start a baseball season you have X number of games that you can play in from the first game to the if necessary game 3 in the championship series. Every team can potentially make it to that last game. Every fan of those teams wants to see them make it that far. If you lose out prior to that last game then your season ends before it has to and you get sad because you would like to still be watching your team play. I never said I'm mad because we underachieved. I said I wish I was still watching us play until the very last out of the very last game. I'm very proud of us. I went to all of the games. Doesn't mean I should be excited that I can't still watch the Tigers play baseball.
