sometimes all the coaching in the world - does not win the game!
case in point - the saints-cowboy game last night- dallas coach on hot seat! wins the game against one of the top coaches in league. should payton be fired? he has the top qb in the league!

Saints shite the bed last night. That's what happened.

Play that game 10× and the Saints win 8 of them.

Sometimes it's just not your night. Especially in the League where everyone can beat everyone else at any given moment.

Love when people compare NFL to college. This thread is aggressively stupid.

Stop trying to compare Ed Orgeron with Sean Payton.

Are you trying to compare NFL coaching to College Coaching? The NFL talent gap is very slim and any given team can beat another in most cases. aTm and UF aren’t even in the same league as LSU in talent this year. We should have won on sheer talent alone but our OC schemes in a way that makes our offense simple to defend. Our HC coaches not to lose rather than to win. The end result is a 9-3 season with losses to 2 inferior teams. I’d actually been more impressed with Coach Zero if he had gone 10-2 with 2 close losses to Bama and UGA and beating who he should’ve beaten. What good is stealing a win from UGA if you choke on 2 lesser talented teams like aTm and UF?

A good coach wins the games he is supposed to while stealing some he’s not.

You serious Clark? OP didn't post anything close to saying that. Can you read?

Coach O is doing a fine job because the Saints lost to the Cowboys last night.

Talent advantage is 90% and coaching no more than 10% all the time.

Anybody that defends Eddie O and Phlegmslinger at this point are complete idiots! It's not even just the losses this year. Look at the one's from last year, and the wins over the past two years that were against inferior teams and were way closer than they should have been. LSU has not been a dominant team in some time, and we have the talent to do it. OK, Alabama has more talent and a better coach. But shut out with our level of talent?? This is ALL on the coaching staff.
