Coaching is Evident

Our patience will be tested this year during this rebuild. The improvement from week 1 to week 2 was obvious. Jayden Daniels was looking downfield as he scrambled when he had time to do so; he is learning. I liked the shuffle in the offensive line as the staff continues to find the best combination of players; I am not sure that Turner can hold up against SEC defensive linemen, but I hope that I am wrong. Clayton did a good job fielding punts. Special teams blocking errors were corrected with some new people in place. Kayshon Boutte seemed relaxed and more involved in the game. I am sure the coaches will work with Nussmeir who has a good arm and talent; he will be taught to throw the ball away. I will end by saying I was glad to see Emory Jones on the field and hope he can be brought up to speed quickly; he has great natural ability and a bit of a mean streak.

It was Southern. We saw some willingness to change and try new things, which is good, but this was a step up from playing an elite HS team.

Next man up. Kid is big, athletic and plays angry. I can see him getting a lot of PT this year.

This year is a rebuilding and we have to accept it for what it is. I’m not worried about what others say. LSU will be back on top in 3-4 years.

We'll have some tough moments, for sure
BUT
Kelly has said as much and said he won't see recruits because he wants to COACH these kids.

Exhibit zzzzzz in why you don't let these season opening opponents fLuck you over and play a game before we do. We beat FSU if they don't sneak duqwesny in before they played us. They either agree to those terms or we find somebody else to play that will agree.

The O-line played like shite last night. You'll start hearing that this week when people get a chance to break down film, and the sunshine pumpers go back to middle school and their glitter and glue projects. The line will get exponentially better, but it's far from good at the moment.
Just a heads up.

Looks like the coaches will not be able to keep Emory off the field. That dude went beast mode.
