Southeastern Louisiana University Director of Athletics Jay Artigues has been selected to serve as the chair of the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee in 2024-25.

Artigues is entering his fourth year on the committee which is responsible for selecting, seeding and bracketing the entire 64-team NCAA Tournament field. In addition, the committee is tasked with recommending rule changes and revisions to the NCAA Baseball Rules Committee.

His son is on the LSU staff this season so I guess he will have to leave the room when discussing LSU and the NCAA tourney.

His son was on the staff last season too and they never said anything about him leaving the room during the discussion.

Did anyone get any pictures of the new construction for the new premium seating on field level?
Yes I took several on the home bullpen side because that's where I sit and wanted to share with some of my fellow season ticket holder friends.

This trip out to the box I didn't go to the visitors side although I am curious to see how the bullpen will be relocated into the corner over there. I was going to get pictures there but stopped to observe the infielders working and a brief BP session that followed.

Would be glad to share with tRant but I don't have an image hosting account anymore.

Looks like it's the U-23 Baseball World Cup.

Hernandez has a .867 OPS in 8 games. Profile Page He did catch at least one game there (the championship). He may have caught more but I didn't look at every box score.

It was played in Shaoxing City, China. Puerto Rico went 7-2 in 9 games. They lost in the finals to Japan.

This is correct. I believe that Jay while touching base on our newly added catching prospects, mentioned that when Puerto Rico inserted him as catcher, they started winning. So they kept running him out behind the dish for the rest of World Cup play.

I'm a season ticket holder that lives out of state. I'm on I'm on the visitor side fourth row. Well it used to be fourth row before they built that new area on field level. I was just wanting to see what it looked like.

Last time I was at the Box I did take some pictures of both side's foul territory construction zones. The visitors side was way behind compared to the home side. I suspect that it is still somewhat behind because there are much fewer premium seats there than the home side which has much more concrete to pour.
