Has to be one of the best ever in his coaching career. You guys need to lock him down and get him a pay raise.

LSU is not afraid to pay assistants.

He's not going anywhere. Ensminger isn't gonna fight it either, he's our formal OC next year.

I think it is absolutely the definitive moment in his career.

He made a bold hire, outside his comfort zone, and let him come in and do his thing.

It was absolutely a surprise to me, and really changed my opinion of O.

Joe Burrow could end up around 5,000 yards passing with 50 TDs

Heck, go ahead and swap Joe Brady’s and Aranda’s salaries. And we’ll be happy.

Technically, Alleva hired him, right?

He has had three or four of those in the last 18 months. All big time, gutsy decisions that have paid off.

what are your other 3?

I feel like getting Burrow is a great move, but if we don't get Brady we waste it.

E probably OC one more year, Brady Assistant OC so E can show him how to handle all the none football game crap he has to do. Came in and went straight to game planning and installation of new plays. The other stuff he needs to learn for one year, then OC.

No way Brady doesn't get hired away in that scenario. I'd be surprised if he isn't a head coach somewhere next year or an NFL OC. I don't care about lack of experience. Perception and hope outweigh everything, especially with the success of recent oc's.

, it's understandable that fans were jaded on new offensive hires. We had a shite track record up until Brady.

he’s been a position coach and passing game coordinator for less than 1 total year in his entire career. He’s been a GA and the nfl equivalent for the rest of it. No one is hiring him as a HC after this season.

We will for sure need to promote him to OC with the applicable raise to keep him however.

I'll be shocked if this is how it goes down

Id say hes probably ready considering he installed a #1 offense in a single spring with zero hiccups.

Barely any drops or procedural penalties.

What other stuff does he need to learn?

Also I could def see Ensminger staying on staff as TE Coach or Assistant HC. I'll be shocked if Brady is the Named OC for next season

agreed. With great risk comes great reward. BUT, Orgeron saw first hand what the risk of doing nothing is with Miles final year.

Instead of the above cliche, I think it was more of a cliche of 'go big or go home'.

same here. He knew he had to do it, we knew he had to do it. But I didn't think he had it in him to go that far out of his comfort zone.

He knows that if he is going to lose to Bama, it at least has to be a close semi-high scoring affair to make his position permanent. Going way out of the comfort zone was the only way to do it.
