This is his major issue imo. He has no idea how to hire coordinators that fulfill any kind of consistent identity. He just rambles on about what kind of offense and defenses he wants but he has no idea how to hire coordinators to get there. Sure he gets props for pairing Ensminger and Brady together, but he showed he could never do that again on offense or defense.

I forgive him. He ran our program into the ground after the greatest season of all time, but by all accounts, he has no bitter feelings, and still loves LSU. His tenure should be remembered fondly.

This is another thing fans repeat that I disagree with. He says he loves LSU but his actions have never really showed anything but that he is loyal to his next paycheck. I think fans equate his love for the state for his love for LSU and I think the two are vastly different. I think he definitely loves Louisiana but doesnt give two shits about LSU.

I wish the dominos would have fallen different for him. Did not have the capacity to handle all of the negative things that hit him all at once. If you look back at 2019 he made all the right gametime decisions. The only weakness the team had was on the defensive side for most of the season. Aranda was overrated in my book but the defense did come around the last few games. If not for all that went wrong that could go wrong, Coach O would still be here.

I honestly don’t get it. I’d estimate that around 75% of the fans I speak to IN REAL LIFE, and not on TD, speak positively about him.
I get that his tenure here didn’t end well, but the downright hatred people spew about him on this board is pretty wrong in my opinion
