re: Coach O Tulane’s next HC?

Their UpTown / St.Charles alums didn't put up with Vegas Vince & his riverboat gambler persona. Coach O is a down-the-bayou clone. Remember when he, in his first meeting with the O.Miss snobs, took off his shirt & got down in a 3 point stance? More than a few blue-haired snobs almost fainted...or so rumors go.

Tulane and Coach O are the perfect fit for each other.. IMO he is an even better fit than Baker was and although Tulane was his former school he made the right decision to stay at LSU where a couple years of putting together consistent defenses along with what we hope is success under Kiffin will put him in line for some SEC jobs as they open up each year while Tulane will always be there for him..

Coach O imo would bring stability as someone who likely won’t be getting any big time offers that are worthy of leaving and Tulane is becoming a very attractive job especially for Coach O.. The more success they have the more competitive their contract $ will be as well.. Coach O bring instant national recognition putting the program in the spotlight which is attractive to recruits.. He has a National Championship leading the best team in CFB history while also having some rings as an assistant, Heisman Trophy winner, 2 of the best WRs in the NFL amongst a load of other players not just from his recent time at LSU but across his entire career.. He would be recruiting in one of the best areas right in his backyard while having his pick of the litter for any recruit in LA that doesn’t get snagged up by LSU.. Tulane would also be a destination for guys in the portal coming from a big school for whatever reason it is that they need the change of scenery to a smaller school as well as cases going to a bigger school..

Tulane would be rewarded with a Coach imo who is all in and isn’t likely to get some big job that would pull him away.. He would earn good $ while also having solid NIL $ with boosters stepping up due to recent success and I have heard Gayle Benson from a source will be making a significant contribution.. He has a legit path to the CFB playoffs every single year with the current format and once playoff expansion happens it’s only going to be easier.. Once in the playoffs anything can happen and Coach O could rebuild his legacy by helping lead another team back home to the playoffs every once in a while and potentially winning a game or 2 with the unthinkable possibly happening.. Also instead of scheduling teams like Ole Miss they could regularly schedule LSU which would bring loads of $ and bring back an old fun once in state “rivalry” that would actually have some relevance in the modern era with Coach O being in Tiger stadium..

The culture around the program and fan base has completely changed thanks to their recent success and one of the bigger party schools in the country now has a football team to be proud of.. It is starting to turn into a fun “football school” with students finally showing legit support for the football program.. Tulane being successful shoukd make all people from Louisiana proud as it does for me being a die hard LSU fan.. I just really believe Coach O and Tulane is the perfect marriage that can last for a long time with lots of success.. If they are smart they will do what it takes to make this happen.. I think a 5 year $20 million contract with big incentives for making and winning the conference championship and playoff appearance’s and wins as well.. Make it happen Green Wave!!
