that is a flat out lie. Joe Burrow was NOT an O find. However, JOE BRADY was an O get. Joe Burrow came from Bill Busch.
It's the truth you dumb frick. Bill Busch was never a candidate for the head coach.

Jimbo passed on Burrow.

Herman passed on Burrow.

Scott Frost passed on Burrow.

Ed Orgeron and Luke Fickell were the only two D-1 coaches that pursued him. That's it. Luke Fickell was never in consideration for the job.

Bill Busch was the one who told O he was a great find but O actually listened and pursued him.

Y'all can be as mad at O as you want but if he's never the head coach then Burrow and Brady never happen.

Literally the greatest season of all time, greatest team ever assembled and that's thanks to O, now go back to bitching snd moaning about it

More than you think.. people always want something.. a picture, a geaux tigers, etc. He’s still the HC of arguably the greatest team of all time.

I’m not saying that it doesn’t, but I also don’t he’s the celebrity you’re necessarily making him out to be either.

Yeah, you’re overthinking my original statement. I don’t think he’s a mega celebrity, but he’s still pretty recognizable in SEC country.

There was a big difference in the interaction when he saw the phone compared to when he put it down.

Bill Busch, the Safeties position coach, was 100% responsible for getting Joe Burrow out of Ohio.......
_________

Busch deserves credit, but saying 100% is baloney. They both played a big part.

To those saying he was triggered, I think it was the camera filming that pissed him off more than the Roll Tide. Everyone has to be internet famous these days.

Idgaf what anyone says- I love O and I'm so damn thankful he was our selection that year.

It was the most fun any of us will ever have watching LSU football and it wouldn’t have happened the way it did without him. Happy we moved on but he holds a very special place in my sports fandom.

the kids loved him and played hard for him. I still think most of the problem was we lost QB, WR's, RB's LB etc and then no clue if we were even playing entering the covid year. I think he would have turned it around.

Thought so too on the first watch. After second watch, O prob felt foolish as it appeared the guy wanted a selfie with him so he paused his run to do so. Punk deserved what he got.

we have no way of knowing who would or wouldn't have been offered by a different coach here.

Herman and Fisher had returning starters as their QB's at their schools. Which is why they didn't offer a guy that had only 40 passing attempts in his entire career at that point.

LSU did not have a returning starter (Brennan had only 24 pass attempts at that point), so those coaches would have probably handled things differently here than they did at their schools.

Herman and Aranda were roommates in college, and Herman offered Aranda to go to Texas with him. so Aranda likely stays on if we hire Herman.
And Aranda likely still hires Busch as safeties coach.

Busch and Herman both knew the Burrows from their time together at tOSU.

so to definitively say he wouldn't have wanted Burrow at LSU or that Burrow would have not come to LSU if offered by Herman instead of O is nothing more than guesswork.

there is absolutely no way of knowing for sure one way or the other.
