It’s been 16 years since we had a coach that could speak English. Feels good.

Ed was a known idiot though. Kelly has 30years of proof to back up what he’s saying. The two do not come close to each other!

1. Why didn't he rip his shirt off?

2. Where's the binder?

But did he punch himself in the face?

Its the only mark of a good coach… how many beatings can they give themselves at halftime.

serious question (and I support the hire 100% and am excited about it)

it's gotta be hard for the players to hear about trust and him caring about them when they saw how quickly the 7am "team meeting" went at ND yesterday morning

I get it's business and that's how things go, but it's gotta suck

After Miles and Orgeron, I have a difficult time understanding a coach who speaks in complete sentences.

The ND players seem to be pretty understanding and supportive of the situation. He addressed them like a man unlike Riley. The timing didn't give him an avenue to take his time. It was now or never and he made a decision. I doubt the players are worried about that. This is his last stop. He's 60 and not going to NFL. They are fine.

Early contract reports were $15mil/year. That seems like a strictly money move for anybody. This was before any interviews came out etc

After new contract details came out for a market value contract and now this video of him addressing the team it puts any doubt to bed of Kelly’s motive to come to LSU

It's such a subtle thing, but I think it's awesome that he said "My name is Brian Kelly." That's having respect for your players, he knows that they know who he is but that's the respectful thing to do, introduce yourself like a man anyway, don't walk in there like they don't deserve a proper introduction.

I'm listening to him and I can tell that he believes everything he's saying, he's here to coach the best, with the best resources and an AD and president that are all pulling in the same direction. Obviously he wasn't getting that at ND.
