No. 1 OT (Badara Traore)
No. 2 OG (Damien Lewis)
No. 1 WDE (Travez Moore)
None of that matters we didnt get Jumbo (Jimbo before he discovered carbohydrates) or Mark Herrman. And Alleva, case closed.

As far as Brennan and Narcisse, I would not call them elite right now. Would you? Honestly, would you?
I’d call them elite coming out of high school last year. Brennan even got playing time as a true freshman in the SEC.
Fields has done nothing on a college field to make me believe he is elite RIGHT NOW on a college field.

So you’re just taking about top 5 overall guys or we are talking bile chips? Because we can go through a SLEW of blue chip QBs that have failed.
But if we’re talking about the top 5 or 6 guys and then you’re calling this class a failure because O didn’t land one of them, then your expectations are ridiculous and you should take a step back and reassess your life.
LSU isn’t the only school in the country and for someone to criticize a coach on a small window such as landing 3 or 4 guys around the entire country is absolutely unfair and it speaks volumes about some of you and your ignorance and patience.

am behind the program, which is why I'm not going to pretend this guy ought to be the head coach here. Frankly, I wish I cared less so I could simply stick my head in the sand, go to games and pull for laundry, and not really care that this was an abysmal hire of a guy that had no business getting interviewed and who, in my opinion, is going to be front and center of what may turn out to be a decade's worth if irrelevance as we bottom out and have to pull ourselves back out of this mess. Honestly...it really does appear that, in this case at least, ignorance truly would be bliss.
These are the posters that drive me batty.
Who the frick are you supposed to be and who the frick told you that you were someone important? This post is absolutely filled to the rim with arrogance and narcissism. Apparently this guy knows the back room discussions, what goes on behind closed doors, what’s being said in meetings, game plans....you name it.
You’re not important. Nobody knows you. You’re another message board joe like everyone else here. You should take that advice and lose the shitty attitude.

What a miserable prick you are. You and your ilk make me sick. Dude makes a positive post about some encouraging moves that should bring some big help right away and this is your response???
GFY a-hole.

Where are earth did you get any of that from that quote of mine?
I disagree with those who think this was a good hire, and I have solid reasons for feeling that way. Feel free to argue them with me if you'd like. I happen to think that those reasons will ultimately make this hire bad for LSU. Again, feel free to disagree but that opinion is based on what we ALREADY know about the man from the last time he'd been given the reigns to his own program.
Look...I'm not quite sure where the problem keeps coming from. People seem to insist on arguing with straw men rather than addressing the arguments being made. In addition, they continue to ascribe beliefs and opinions to others that they have never actually espoused. It's tiring.
For instance, I've NEVER EVER EVER said that Ed Orgeron should have always and forever been banished to coaching wasteland for his time at Ole Miss. That position would be absurd! But...why is it absurd to think that before a Top 10 program like LSU coming off of back to back coaches that had lead this program to National Titles would have expected the coach they hire to at least not ahve tanked the previous one he ran all on his own? Because it had been 10 years? So what? If he had taken a lesser program and built them into something, turned them around, maybe rebuilt one and shown the college football world that he actually HAD gotten better and that the Ole Miss time was the fluke, THEN we could have maybe talked about this. But in NO WAY is it some crazy expectation that Orgeron rebuilt his reputation by proving he was good enough before we handed him the keys.
You may think that it's water under the bridge and that those who hated this hire should just let it go...and you're free to feel that way. But I've yet to be convinced by anything even posing as a legit argument for why Orgeron was qualified to be given this job. And if that's the position you hold...that Joe Alleva turned our beloved program over to a guy that made Ole Miss EVEN WORSE and had failed to prove that he could be trusted fully in charge of an even BIGGER program than the last one he tanked, shouldn't it be incumbent on that person to be upset by this?
What many of you are asking is for those of us who hate this to walk away and stop caring. While I never agreed with those that bashed Miles from Day One, I never felt that they needed to care less...as I understood that for the most part their ire was born from their passion for the program, even if I thought they were wrong.

Can we just call him Coach O, and not try to interject "eaux" into everything?

Why does he have to be "someone important" to have an opinion that's not in lock step with the sheep like you?
Why does someone have to have access to back room meetings and game planning to see that this program could potentially be headed in a direction that we don't want. That horrible 3 week stretch of football between MSU and Troy should scare the hell out of you going forward.
