"The arrests cast another ugly spotlight on the LSU football program."

The arrest of FORMER football players caused this comment? I am so sad for the young men who have caught themselves up with their immature actions but it pales in comparison as to what the outside of Louisiana response is to it...

I will never understand why people on here take so much offense to what the media says about us

The thing that bothers me is that they're FORMER players. FORMER players commit crimes all the time, right? The only reason why this gets play is because of TM7...and maybe Jeffereson. I'm just extremely glad they aren't on the team. In this, I'm happy with Miles. He never allowed any media to project TM7 back on the team. Obviously, he knew/suspected enough to distance LSU from him.

The whole thing is a shame....and there will be another story tomorrow.

TM7 was supposed to be trying to make himself a current player again

And like it or not former players will always be connected to the program

TM7 was invited to NY for the Heisman ceremony as a Sophmore......

Jordan was a 3 year starter at QB.....

This is news and reflects on LSU.

This is the smartest thing to come out of a Mathieu's mouth.

Exactly

Plus we all love to gloat when former players do great things after LSU. Unfortunately the ones who can't make good choices are still connected to the program too

I dont think the Mathieu's are idiots, I really think Tyrann is struggling right now emotionally and psychologically. I think that part of his performance on the football field was him channeling his feelings of stress, and now that he isnt on the field, he doesn't he doesn't have that coping skill anymore.

I think LSU needs to have some professionals working with some of these kids.

They might be FORMER players as you say, but they were doing the same shite when they were on the roster.

Well thats what they had us believe, and possibly its true. However, we may have fallen for a PR ploy and TM simply thinks he's above the law and says F.U. to everyone, he dont care.

It's a true statement. It looked horrible on ESPN...LSU starting QB in NC game arrested along with LSU Heisman Finalist. Whether or not they are on the team it's bad.

Do you think it makes us look good? Overlooked is the fact that we already kicked him off, but still it just LOOKS bad

It looks bad. Especially for a coach, Les Miles, that takes pride in running a clean program. These were two of the programs most visible players. There have already been run-ins and distractions, and this is another black eye. I think LSU athletics needs to come up with a preventive plan to minimize the chances of this happening again.
