CMM buyout goes from 8M to 4M in one year.
This narrative is still bullshite. He will get another job which will offset some of the cost, this isnt a BK situation.
And its all owed over time. During which, other SEC programs have proven you can turn around the program in a year, be middle of the pack, and make back that 4 million in profit.

It’s over for him regardless. We will be back in the same place next year if he returns.

Not really when it’s not your money.

It does not cut in half in one year. It’ll be closer to 6 than 4 and it is paid out over the remaining period of the contract. He has 3 years left on his contract and is fired without cause he is paid 80% of his salary and his salary increases each year.
That is sunk cost.

I don't know this. How do you know this? McMan could go global to bring in stellar talent, and win big next season. What's happening now has no bearing on the future. I think McMan will work hard to upgrade the team knowing he'll be back.

He's 17-52 with 37 double digit conference losses. This year alone, he's 3-12 with a $10MM roster. What indication is there that he is going to figure it out. I have no doubt he works hard, and that is kind of the point. His lack of success is not due to poor effort, which seems to indicate he's just not the right person for LSU.
