you have a point.

There are people on this board that know more than our coaches, Ive said it 100 times... people here are missing their call in life.
Not to mention all the money they are giving up.

mylsuhat dislikes this

Where is his confidence? leadership?

How is he supposed to be able to lead this team eventually if he cant take the simple responsibility to work hard and trust yourself

Im not saying op is not telling the truth, but ive been to several functions where LM has spoke and that just doesnt seem like something he would say about a player, much less a guy that has never taken a snap.
Who knows..

Maybe I watch enough SEC football to know that LSU has consistantly ranked in the top of the conference in recruiting rankings. Maybe coaches of other teams HAVE to start theirs.

Kind of like how LSU used to be when they were getting their asses handed to them by teams like Alabama and Nebraska - teams that were famous for sitting their freshmen - while LSU was having to start freshmen.

What I think the problem is is that LSU fans get so overheated in February on NSD, that they wet their pants waiting for the season to start so they can watch all these young kids they had been so obsessed over earlier in the year. They forget that they were just as obsessed over the freshmen class the previous year, but then that was so last year, they aren't interested in seeing THOSE kids anymore. After all, they spent all that time obsessing over the new kids, they want to see them play RIGHT NOW and not have to actually have the patience to wait to see them play next year.

I also watch enough LSU football to know that Les Miles is interested in getting his teams in the best position to win as many games as possible. He has a want to be successful, not just for his players and the University, but for his own bank account.

Asking the guy, "Why don't you start more fresmen?" is almost CERTAINLY going to be met with, "Because I don't see that as putting the TEAM in the best position to win football games." So why even ask?

Did it ever occur to you that the seniors Les plays are the same kids that came in as a top 5 recruiting class?

Did it occur to you that those four and five star players are playing like two star players when they are Juniors and Seniors. While five star Freshman and Sophomores, an other teams, are starting and winning championships.

I see. So you agree with me that Les ought to sign 85 players per class and then dismiss them all at the end of the season.

That would certainly be better than running them all through that star-stripping machine at work over there in the Cholly Mack bldg. Players go in with 5 stars and come out with 2.

I wonder where all those stars go...?

Andromeda, maybe?

Coach felt RS would be a full time player this year and rarely come out of the game, if ever.

Just the simple fact that he says this now, shows how fricking stupid and clueless our staff was last year not playing RS and not getting him more touches than anyone on the team.

Seriously, how many times has LM said he never wanted a player to leave the field..........NEVER! That's how good RS is already and he hardly ever touched the ball last year. :banghead:

Y'all can fall for his BS all you want, if you really listen to the words then apply them to the past, it constantly shows how fricking clueless our staff was/is on offense.

RS should have had 15 touches per game last year, especially since we were the worst offense in the nation, damn near!

RS wasn't playing or practicing nearly as much at WR like he will be this year. So maybe Miles feels alot more comfortable with him being on the field more at WR than at QB....which is understandable.

And Garrett is afraid.

And this 2010 team is suppose to win double digit games with this crew. Only if ZLee is the next coming of Tommy Hodson. 8-5 is the over/under.

I understand, but that again was the coaches decisions. And if we weren't the worst offense in America, I could understand not playing the younger ones. But once we stooped to the bottom of offense, the new blood should have dominated the playing time.

It's just dumb all the way around and whatever decisions that were made wree done by the same staff we still are stuck with on offense.

One other thing I just remembered that kind of caught me off guard. CLM felt the running game was very lacking this past year but while part of the problem was the lack of production on the offensive line, the other part of the equation was inconsistancy at the running back position that hendered the line from "getting in sync." He felt with more emphasis on running the ball and with Ware "who will be a horse" and the combination of Ford, we should be able to "finish" games that got away from us last year.

Why is it that so many LSU fans seem to think this years freshmen are always better than last year's freshmen - who just so happened to have been better than the previous year's freshmen?

Because previous years' freshmen haven't lived up to their billing as sophomores, juniors, etc.?

The post didn't say Garrett is afraid, it said Gary Crowton believes Garrett needs more time.
