From the looks of it, you don't get any difference in points from donated $100 a year vs donating $4999 a year (Being $100-$4,999 net you 3 pts). Is that accurate?
not true. For $100 you get the 3 points PLUS 1 point per $1000 (.1 points for $100). If you donate $4000 for example, you get your 3 points PLUS 4 points. Now those points go up much more if you hit the $5000 mark, but to answer question, you do get points from all $ donated.

Anyone donating $100 a year is kidding themmselves if they think they will ever get football tickets.

This assumes that the program will continue to be successful. Big donations are already drying up.

Ok, here is another questions. From the looks of it, you don't get any difference in points from donated $100 a year vs donating $4999 a year (Being $100-$4,999 net you 3 pts). Is that accurate?

That is only for your loyalty points.

You get points for the amount you donate.

You won't need any priority points this year. I don't imagine they will sell more than 4-5000 tickets to the idiot Miles supporters.

Stands will be half empty since the offense will be horrible and we will lose 9 games.

Correct me if im wrong, but I read on the website that $100 a year gets 3 TAF points. 4 years of college + 2 years after = 6 years. 6 X 3 = 18 points? Am I doing it wrong?

Yes you will have 18 points in 6 years, but everyone with points now will have 18 more than you. You have to pass people up. i.e. write big checks. bigger ones than I can afford.

So what if the "big" donors stop donating, it won't have any effect on this guy donating his $100. If a big Taf donor gives only $2000 instead of $10000, he may drop in rank, but the original poster would never catch him anyway.

Every TAF bottom dweller is donating the minimum $100 and that is doing NOTHING for them. They will never rise in rank even if "DONATIONS DRY UP" because they can't jump the higher ranked people unless THEY start donating more than the minimum.

Thank you for all the info! See I was oblivious to the majority of the TAF operation, even after reading the website. You cleared up a lot of questions I had.

IMO the best move is to either
1. keep paying the $100 unless you have more money than you know what to do with. The program is in a downturn right now and you can wait it out.

OR

2. buy tickets to the good games for $250+ and you are still money ahead without having to pay for the LA directional school crapfests and the TAF fees.

So would it be smart to sign up and do the $100 donation a year to get 3 points. By doing that I assume it would only take a year or 2 out of college to be able to qualify for tickets

Don't let anyone rain on your parade. The answer is yesterday was a good time to start a Taf Account. I started one in 2005 and wished I would have in 03 when it started. Get on it asap

Not really, what I cited were my suspected reasons. The results are what they are. Only a fool would reasonably believe that TAF donation levels are either stable or on the rise right now.

Yeh do it if you can spare $100, and MAYBE one day you'll get tickets. Hell at least you get a postcard from TAF for the Christmas, exclusive I'm in TAF so I'm a big wheel decals(even if I donate $100), and a TAF all-access membership card. In all seriousness, I do feel like my $100 is better then the guy that donates nothing.

Once again... based on nothing. TAF fees are going up every year. I donated more in 2009 than in 2008. I will send more in 2010 than 2009. I will donate more in 2010 than I ever have. I am not alone. Stop basing your posts on what you "think" or "the economy"

Great anecdotal evidence and thanks for your support, but you again are missing the point. I know for a fact that the donation levels are down, I am merely providing an opinion as to why. I suspect that these might turn around if the program does as well. Common sense really.

That was from another guy in another thread. With the average cutoff a few years back @ 5400, it seems like 18 points may be ranked around that cutoff.

Just remember that everyone else is accumulating more TAF points each year, too. x number may be enough today but not in 2 years.

Are you people actually going to buy into this whoring of LSU. I don't know about you guys but I for one am sick of ALL schools coming up with ways to steal your money and make you feel like you have "contributed" to something. My God this is insanity.

Sorry !! but thank you very much for allowing me to vent my anger. or what's left.

No one is forcing you to donate. What do you spend your entertainment dollars on?
