Honestly man gtfo here with that shite. U obviously are living in 92 when we use to drop bombs left and right. Welcome to real baseball where u can't rely on the long ball to bail you out.

You can't keep Katz idle at first and swing away.

This was the bigger mistake...

he should have taken another pitch. That was the right move.

Not bunting, or swinging away

Completely agree, but I guess you trust your established hitter to make the right decision.

Arguments can be made both ways with either Katz or raph from this team they are srs and great hitters they Should be able to recognize a pitch they can handle and have a chance to drive. Didn't work out this occasion but many times it will. Don't blame anybody just didn't work out this time

I'm asking him to do something he is good at (put the ball in the play on the ground on a hitter's count) while you are asking him to do something that is not easy when you never do it.

For any hitter on the team to not be comfortable bunting the ball in any situation is unacceptable in this era of college baseball.

And I actually agree with you. Most of our guys look terrible trying to bunt. They look uncomfortable. UCLA looks so at ease doing it. It should be a priority for every hitter on this team.

But bunting is by nature an "easy" thing to do. Make contact with the ball. That's it. You have to commit to it. Most of our guys don't. But just put the bat on the ball. Move the runner over. It's the easiest way to make contact and ensure there is no chance at a DP. It should not have been in question.
