Miles will not fire him. He will let Chavis stay no matter how bad the defense becomes until either Chavis retires or another program is desperate enough to hire him. That is Miles' history with his staff.

Chavis has some good Ds and some horrible tendencies.....his weaknesses get exploited when he plays teams with speed.
Chavis basically was the reason for Fulmer being fired at TN.

Don't think he needs to be fired, he's earned the right to have more time. Anyone will struggle losing all that talent early. However, I think this is the time to consider switching to 3-4 D scheme.
