adams looks good. he fricked up like everybody else in many ways, but he brought some fire and passion. looks real athletic

and he's a true frosh, he's supposed to make mistakes. welter/beckwith aren't supposed to make those mitakes

lucky for us, we didn't get landon collins. he blows dick.

Don't let the Bama fans hear you say that. They think he is a first round pick.

Adams is a beast and needs more playing time.

I think Adams made every tackle in the second half.

yeah I just looked at the play on espn.com, Bower did get crossed over lol. no support behind him though. Kwon and Welter both bit on the RB and just never got off their blocks. Kwon was close and wanted a flag for holding, Welter never got there, the DBs were either getting blocked or late to get there. sheesh.

there are quite a few DCs who would have dominated in 2011 with that talent. malleveto would have dominated

Beckwith is in his first year at middle linebacker. If Adams is making freshman mistakes, then beckwith is too.

I think Hunter made every LSU tackle in the game. he may translate better to 3-4 OLB than Keke did. not much on pass rushing though.

Nope...no defense can hold out under constant attack. Especially one that is revamped every year due to the draft. The fault lies mostly in our play calling on the offensive side of the ball.

hunter looks like tarzan, plays like jane...for the most part. he LOOKS like a prototypical DE...he just doesn't produce consistently

Kind of hard for the D to perform when the O is running 3 straight times & punting every time. They are gassed.

Did you want Harris throwing more? Would that have solved any problems?

I have to disagree with you here, he made a ton of tackles, he has to play how the defense is called.

Hunter gets tackles like a MF for a DE in our scheme, though. around the LOS too, not downfield. he's gonna be around 60ish total tackles for 2 straight yrs, that's on par with Mingo and Sam.

he just doesn't do much in the sack dept.

I've never understood the argument on the defense being "gassed". The opposing offense is running at the same speed. Why wouldn't it relate to the offense being "gassed" too?

As long as Chavis is DC no DE will have a lot sacks. They read the QB and try and contain 90% of the time.

I looked for Chavis to make at least one tackle last night. It's all his fault. I saw plenty of guys put in posittion to make plays but they didn't. Such is life when you are young. Top 20 defenses over a 20 year period, usually supported by a shite offense, is hard to accomplish. Do we have issues, yes, fire our best coach, nope!
