I have been very impressed by his play as a true freshman. Was he rated higher as a OG or DT in highschool? I think the future is bright on the line with Chasen and Dare switching positions

It looks like Hines and Rosenthal are going to grade out better at OL vs DT which is great, but depending on what our JRs decide to do on the DL, we will be in a much greater area of need for DL. 2019 I expect our OL to be one of the deepest, most talented groups we've had in years.

He was graded out highly and recruiting guys said he should be an OG.

Bama came in and told him he could play Dline and made a play for him. O told him he could ply DT.

Clearly OG was the position he should be at.

Burrow seemed to love him on the line based on the comment in one of his recent interviews

Next year could be S.Charles, C.Hines, L.Cushenberry, E.Ingram, and A. Deculus or D.Rosenthal

I highly doubt Ingram will ever step on the field again.

I was really impressed with him last Saturday. If you go rewatch the film almost all of the big runs came from push generated by cush, hines and Charles. They routinely won their one on one matchups and sometimes got to the linebackers. Keep the good thing going.

That being said Deculus routinely got beat. Thank God we Burrow had a pocket to step into and our receivers were running wide open a lot of the time.

Whats interesting to me is if Magee will take over for Deculus at Right Tackle now that Hines has stepped up at Left Guard. He was running #1 at that position before he got hurt. Has Deculus progressed or Magee digressed?

Also, when Brumfield gets back will he replace Hines. If so, might Hines play another position?

These are good discussions to have because we are talking depth at this point. Come next year we will have a good amount of experience no matter who the starting 5 are as well.
