Thanks for that. When it opens, you have to select the team you want to see from the top. This is the raw data (but very interesting). Connelly also did a write-up in which he said LSUs catch rate was one of the worst in Power-5 football.

They definitely didn't perform up to their talent for whatever reason. I think we all expect them to be much better this upcoming season. If for nothing else, just their own competitiveness should make them be better this year.

Thanks for the confirmation. Much appreciated!!!

I think you are fooling yourself into believing he is a great troll, because you are having trouble wrapping your mind around somebody being this dumb.

He is just this dumb though.

No troll at all.

1) LSU had a horrible drop problem last year.
2) LSU WRs did not do mega-reps on the Jugs last year
3) LSU is doing 10,000 reps per WR this Summer.

Life is good!

What was their drop rate? How many more drops per game did they average? I honesty don’t know so I’m asking. Not challenging

Let me save you some trouble. A poster found some statistic regarding dropped passes that didn't shed LSU WRs in all that bad of a light. Buckeye Joe spent weeks telling us all, over and over and over again (like he's doing by copy and pasting the same thing constantly) that WR drops WERE NOT measured as a stat in college football. He told us these numbers were kept by each team, and never were let outside of WR rooms.

Fast forward to when Buckeye Ree found a stat that fit his narrative, and all of a sudden everything he previously mentioned no longer holds true. Those stats are fact.

Moral of the story. Anything Buckeye Ree answers you with should not be taken seriously.

Again...no one cares. You're not an LSU fan. In fact, the way I see it, you're almost anti-LSU in that you spent a large portion of the summer bashing one of our long time coaches in an attempt to try and spin potential excuses in case your only reason for being here does not complete a high enough percentage of passes this season. Your one and only purpose is Joe Burrow, the rest of the team, coaches and fans be damned.

I'm honestly not sure what's going on with the board any more. You have no good reason to be here, and yet were allowed to run with that completely unfounded and still uncredited rumor about our S&C coach. You should have been given at least a time out for that little stunt...

To you, "Hold That Tiger 10", stats from Bill Connelly & a CBSSports writer are no better than the stats from an amateur stat fan site...

Why does that NOT surprise me?

Maybe the QBs are not spinning them like the JUGS machine. Do we have a JUGS that throws em wobbly, late and behind the receiver...forcing them to leap to put a finger on it then we will call it a drop.

Wait, did I say somewhere that I thought one sites stats were more legit than the others?

All I said was what YOU said, which was that stats involving drops were not kept by anybody, except individual teams, and never left the position rooms. Are you denying saying this?

Says Coach O and the other people who watched. I heard there were about eight dropped passes this past Saturday. It was raining though.

I said there are no official NCAA or college program stats.

Connelly and CBS staff have the bucks to generate stats from film.

Coach O didn't give out any drop numbers. The only place I saw 8 drops was from a poster on TD with less than 500 posts.

You have any other source for the 8 drops stat?

This from The Advocate 3 days ago...
quote:

Orgeron said backup quarterback Myles Brennan had a “tremendous day.” Brennan struggled running the first-team offense last week, but he finished 13-of-25 with 260 yards and one touchdown. He completed one pass for a 56-yard gain. Some of his passes fell incomplete because of drops.
