If he does, Walker and Nuss will have decisions to make !

Will all depend on how well he does the remainder of the season. If he continues to light it up, esp. center stage against Bama, his stock will soar and he'll be gone
You do realize that the NFL, unlike the majority of this board, doesn’t just look at stats, right? They have eyes. Seeing as he can’t notice an open receiver, let alone get the ball to them, there’s absolutely no way he’ll play QB in the NFL. I don’t even think he could be a backup.
Seems like a good dude, works his arse off for LSU, but he just doesn’t have it.
If Walker Howard isn’t ready next year, we’re not sniffing the top 10.

He would be smart to come back next year.
Disagree. He's 3rd or 4th round pick this year and coming back next year and lighting it up likely won't change that

I doubt he is NFL material at this time. I expect him back > 90%.

Where is he going? Free agent?
Posted on 10/26/22 at 6:07 pm to Cortez12
100%
he needs to work on his reads and technique a ton as well as add around 15 pounds

If he stays you can bet we lose our RS Freshman to the portal.

My brain saw, “Chase Daniels comes back next season”.
Posted on 10/26/22 at 6:22 pm to Cortez12
Right now he's no better than a 5th rounder
If he comes back the sky is the limit

Howard would be a rsFR, why would he need to make a decision?

If he stays and starts you mean. If Walker Howard is half as good as advertised, he’s 100% starting. JD was brought here to stop the bleeding, but he’s just not a good QB. And seeing as he’s already started 40 games in college, I highly doubt he’s far from hitting the ceiling.
Everyone’s on an Ole Miss sugar high and blown away by JD’s stats, but we need to stop looking at the stat sheet and look at what he does on the field.

Probably because there are many teams on which he could start immediately. Ole Miss, Ky, Fla.
Staying won't guaranteed anyone a starting position at LSU.

I agree, he just isn’t a good passer of the football but everyone wants to look at his stats and say he’s God. He’s had 1 good game passing out of 7 starts

I’d say strong…to quite strong

Yeah especially that pass to Jenkins… gimme a break dude. He wasn’t even close and was about 3 seconds too late on reading it. I’m happy he’s a Tiger and he’s giving it his all but he is not a good QB because he can’t do the one thing QB’s have to do well. Doesn’t mean he can’t still win. Hell, Jordan Jefferson got us to a championship game.
If we wanna be a playoff team we better hope Howard is ready to start next year. Otherwise it’ll be 8-4 or 9-3.

No way he declares. He could work into a first round pick with another year at LSU.
