If he's smart, he will not hire an agent and weigh his possibilities. Being first team ALL SEC ahead of Ingram has to draw a lot of attention his way. Even though we have lots of good running backs and a few coming in, I hope he stays and has an even better year.

I hope he stays because Ridley rules. But I think RBs should always leave early to the NFL, regardless of where they will be drafted. It's so easy to get injured, take your chance when you can get it.

I actually heard he was seriously considering this.

I was kind of surprised.

ALL SEC in terms of the NFL draft does not mean much at all.

I think he stays. Unless he was projected first round there is no reason to leave.

Ridley could play in the NFL but I don't think he's "leave early" good. I would be shocked.

Dude would be a 6th round, maybe undrafted FA if he left...he is definitely coming back.

actually it does. NFL knows the RB talent that comes out of the SEC is legit.

and he is more likely to leave due to money. if he waits until next season he will get less money due to the new restrictions. he is Dorsey type to want to come back and win at least a SEC title and got to a BCS game but money talks in this word.

Ive said it a few times that he needs to leave....it would be smart on his part.

1. He wont duplicate next year what he did this year....not enough balls to go around and to many athletes.
2. We have better, faster, younger RB's waiting..
3. He will never be drafted higher then the 3rd or 4th round.
4. He saves another year of wear and tear on a bold thats already torn up...

3 and 4 are the most important...

he will never be drafted above 3 or 4 round??

you an NFL GM? I wouldn't put a ceiling on this kid. Another year in a more balanced offense could work wonders for him. If he can add a little bit more speed but retain the power I can see him in 2nd round.

I'm sure every RB would love to do this.

However, adding speed is difficult.

I would think he comes back, but his draft position may not change all that much with another year. If he needs $, going now would not be a total mistake.

Less and less RBs are being taken in the 1st by NFL teams, unless they are special backs like AP, etc. Ridley is probably a 3rd/4th rd player, and probably won't ever be a 1st rounder.

What about the player lockout? I think Ridley and PP will be back next year. The NC game will be in N.O., it's destiny!

He will be an excellent NFL back. Whenever he does leave, he will be missed by LSU fans. One of the least appreciated LSU players Ive seen. He's a top back in the SEC and carried this sorry offense this year on his back. LSU fans still calling for the back-up!! Unreal.

Who is under appreciating him? Some think Ford may be the best overall back. So what? That doesn't take anything away from Ridley and what he accomplished.

He's a good back. Strong runner, good vision. Lacks top end speed, which will hurt him in the eyes on NFL scouts.

He's better than Kieland and KW is basically starting in the pros.....just sayin

ALl you draft gurus can STFU about him not being NFL talent. If he grades well in the combines, he'll go as high as 3rd rd easily.

This could be debated. He had a better year than KW ever had statistically, but when did KW carry the ball 225 times?

But I will say, KW is primarily a starter in the NFL because Washington's scheme is perfect for him.

I have a really good source on this and he said once he passed the 1000 yard mark, he was going pro... That happened

lolwut?

1) If there is a lockout (very likely), it will be after the draft; and juniors have to declare for the draft much earlier than that. So basically they won't know for sure whether or not there would be a lockout when they make their decision unless the NFL just says its 100% sure.

2) A lockout does not really affect a player's status, and if it does, it should be in favor of the player LEAVING because of the rookie salary cap that will probably be implemented soon in the NFL.

basically there is NO REASON why a lockout would make juniors return to college, especially when you consider that the lockout would be AFTER the draft.
