At safety he could have done 25 reps and it would be insignificant. Speed and agility matter most.

That is terrible I am a junior in highschool and I can rep 9 after a workout.

Let's see you say you are a Junior in high school and and you were born in 1988...you must be one stupid junior...I guess that's why LSU isn't recruiting you...they couldn't get you eligible...

I don't think I could do 10 reps today, but a few years ago I had no problem with 15 and it's not that difficult to do. Thats piss poor IMO, but not sure what kind of workout regime he has been on his college career.

Looks like whatever it was, it wasn't enough.

I predicted Chad would disappoint strength wise. Anyone who knows Chad knows he is not a "workout warrior" and never has been.

He has gotten by largely on incredible natural ability.

Nothing from LSU players has surprised me at combine so far.

I expect Chad to run in 4.5's tomorrow.

i dont know if this is the case with chad but he could have put up more but only 9 counted because he didn't "lock out" well enough on the other ones. a couple of years ago didn't one of our guys throw up like 20 something but they only counted half.

So is he actually gone, meaning did he hire an agent or can he still return to LSU if he has a bad combine?

I think he'll do best in the verticle jump, which is good. If he runs in the 4.5's his stock will drop a bit.

220 + pound safeties are typically supposed to run in the 4.5's. he'll be fine if he times here.

when do they run?

that's only a tad faster than the fast defensive ends from this years combine.

I like CJ as much as the next guy but 9 reps is HORRIBLE no matter how you shake it. If Mays had done only 9 reps we'd be absolutely destroying him right now and calling him a fraud

Chad Jones does not have bad cover skills.

He's a safety. He actually plays the ball very well. But, he's not going to lock down a WR man to man (nor will any safety).
