We'll see how much they are willing to move teams after a week of games.

I think everyone is being reactionary because they are accustomed to the AP/BCS polls where voters are unwilling to make drastic moves in the rankings.

If Ole Miss gets housed by Auburn, the committee may move OM behind LSU in the polls.

Let's give the system a few weeks to see how it operates before we decide it needs to be changed.

Not make sense?

It's great this year, which is factually correct. get the frick over it and move on.

The fact that you truly believe this is hilarious.

Name any team having a better year that isn't above them. If being 4th in the nation isn't great, then there is clearly no pleasing you. Good day.

Our win over OM looked nothing like MSU's win over us. Don't even try to compare them.

I don't give a frick about looks. MSU had three more 1st downs than LSU, ran one more play than LSU, had a 100 yards more offense, the same TOP, and five more points. You guys are so hung up on how we played for a portion of the game, you have lost sight of how we played for the full 60 minutes.

We by far dominated Mississippi for the game more than Mississippi State dominated us for the game.

So 4th place is now great? Lol ok.

When taking into consideration the level of competition the 1st place team isn't even great all of the time. You can say " their resume is better than everyone else's this year" all you want, because it's possibly true. Saying their resume is great is ignorant.

You using the term ignorant after the shite you've spewed in this thread is comical.

No, you using the term great to describe the 4th best anything in a given year is the very definition of ignorant.

So you wouldn't use "great" to describe the #4 seed in the playoff at the end of the year because to that point their #4? I'd say being 1 of 4 teams with a chance to win the national title is "great."

Arizona won at Oregon.

I'm not sure when Oregon became Auburn such that this is responsive to what you quoted.

Bottom line is that if we beat Bama and Ole Miss back to back we'll be no worse than #10

Making the playoffs isn't a great season to me, winning the championship is a great season. Making the playoffs would be a very good season.

I do. We won last week in convincing fashion so they have nothing else to bitch about and there's no opponent this week to over-analyze, so these are the kinds of threads we are stuck with.

You said earlier that 2011 was a great season, and we got slammed in the big game. Make up your mind.

I mean, you pointed out that Arizona would surely get dominated at Auburn if they had to play there this year. Oregon is pretty comparable and they went there and won so it was just a reference point. Pretty simple really. And it's not like, aside from the LSU game, Auburn has been dominating people. They were awful against USC, awful for a half against La Tech, very ordinary for 3 quarters against Arkansas, and ordinary at Kansas St (who is better, maybe, than we thought at the time). All that to say, I thought it was pretty clear why I pointed out that Arizona won at Oregon when you said they'd get destroyed at Auburn too.

We didn't play it out and say that the #4 seed lost. You said that being #4 when they announce the playoff isn't great. That's just absurd. They're one of four teams with a chance to win it all.

Why don't you post LSU's schedule from 2011 and OM's from this year up and I'll tell you why you're a dumbass for bringing this up.

Do I consider 2011 a great season for LSU? No. It was damn near the perfect season, but that title game spoiled it. However, that doesn't take away from LSU's resume, which was great that season no matter what happened in that game.
