Little won't hurt them that much since their offense is already dreadful, and while Austin is a great player, he is only 1 of many on that defense. Tydreke Powell can step in for one game

Their quarterback is a freaking joke, so yeah Little is irrelevant.

Sorry man I know you just heard it but not news. Dareus wont play in bamer's opening either if not cleared. Point being, if they aren't cleared then the could cause the win to be forefit if something sticks later. No reason to risk it.

I hope they dont play.

Shouldnt have screwed up.

No one cried any tears over the players we have lost in the past. No one wishes all our players stayed as seniors, that we still had all our coaches so they could play us at "full strength".

"Man, I really wish the top 30 recruits in the country had gone to UNC so we couldve played them at full strength"

If it goes that long then I don't expect Bama to be to be winning as much as people think.

Isn't that overstating the obvious? Or are you saying if the NCAA has not yet ruled by gametime they won't play. Have they been practicing?

Joe Schad says (paraphrasing) " The latest news on 'agentgate' is that both Marvin Austin & Greg Little were interviewed a second time by the NCAA recently & they had legal representation with them. Neither of the players have been cleared by the NCAA for his potential improper contact with sports agents and might miss the first game of the season vs LSU. Little & Austin haven't been formally accused of anything and so they haven't been punished for anything, but both are still in the NCAA's crosshairs. The Investigation is 'On Going'. The NCAA is interested in the relationship between North Carolina Defensive Line Coach John Blake, Former UNC DE Kentwan Balmer & agent Gary Wichard. Austin is good friends with Balmer who is represented by Wichard who is an old friend with Blake. The NCAA wants to know about training that Austin did out in California @ a facility that Wichard uses for his clients and are trying to determine what extra benefits may have taken place for Austin and what role if any the coach & the agent had in that."

If that is true I do not want them playing because I do not want us to play the game loose it then get it given back to us after the season is over and that would have been the game that gave us an undefeated season and a chance at a NC, that would he-double-l.

If they broke the rules then they should pay for it, I do not want to wish or hope anything bad on anyone but, you break the rules you pay for it.

I don't want to see our team have to play North Carolina with these players if they are guilty of cheating. Reggie Bush has crippled USC. I would bet money that he is the tip of the iceberg. These guys know the rules, if they break them, they should suffer the consequences. The team suffers when individual players make mistakes. Just as LSU after the Ryan P. episode.

Im pretty impartial on the subject. I usually want to beat a team at their best, but I want to win this year so bad im not sure I care.

I agree rickyh! Look at all the teams that got hit with violations, it just seems to me that all these teams would make sure these kids know and understand the consiquences with breaking the rules. It not only hurts the their teammates and Coaches but also the Fans that pay their money for season tickets and all the donations that go into making it possible for these kids to be able to develope their skills and prepare them for the NFL.

They are talking about paying these kids but I say no, they are recieving a free education along with all the training and travel time when it is with the school has for as training goes at no cost to the families. Nobody takes all that into account when figuring what they are recieving for playing for a given university.

No team in 2008 said, man, I wish we could play LSU with Ryan Perrilloux at QB instead of Andrew Hatch.

So screw UNC. If Austin and Little can't play, good for us.

Not sure what CF Live stated, but sports radio here in the Raleigh area is reporting that it is highly unlikely that Little will play in the first couple of games, and the Austin could be gone for the SEASON. Also reporting that DL Coach John Blake (a.k.a. the Black Santa) is the focal point of the UNC investigation.

Is a concrete source "reporting" that, or is it an analyst who is paid to give his opinion just saying what he thinks? Just curious.
If true, then WOW.

Either way, thanks for the update.
