CBS trying to influence Bama UT?

Not trying to be the tinfoil hat guy but this is so fishy. No way CBS thinks Auburn with a (likely at that point) interim coach playing the #1 team in the nation will bring in more viewers than LSU v Tennessee. Really seems like they are trying to influence our game to help Tennessee’s odds of going into the Bama game undefeated (a game they will get to broadcast)

No matter the real reason, CBS will claim it’s because of the rivalry.

So you think LSU will lose because it is at 11 am and not at 2:30?

Auburn Georgia is one of the biggest rivalries in the game regardless of records, outcome, etc.

Yeah it sucks for sure, but its not completely foolish of them to choose that game.

Bama/Tennessee will be at 2:30 on 10/15 regardless of what happens on 10/8.

Let it go man. At least it's not a CBS day game with the interminable TV timeouts. We upset Florida in this same time slot last year, so let's make the best of it. I was hopeful we would get picked for the night cap on ESPN, but it's out of our control.

Never said I thought we were going to lose in my post. But having a game at 11am is a massive blow to crowd turnout vs 2:30.

That’s my point. Will bring in a lot more viewers if Tennessee is still undefeated.

Meh, if the SEC wants UT and Bama to both be unbeaten when they meet, they will take care of that themselves. CBS has nothing to do with that.

The crowd last year against Florida was lit AF at 11 am. The 60,000 or so who were there had a hell of a time. That was a vintage Tiger Stadium crowd. We'll be just fine.

No but I'll tell you one thing...11:00 AM I AINT GOING!

2:30 yes, I'd be there...and tailgating is negated. This is the effect. Always has been. And I'm sure a large contingent would agree with me.

For sure, nothing to do with playing a better team

I do think CBS wants the T10 showdown between Tennessee and Alabama to happen, so they chose a shite game between Georgia/Auburn in hopes that the very early kickoff vs Tennessee in two weeks hurts the home field influence.

We need to say frick CBS and throttle both Auburn and Tennessee the next two weeks (ruining their coveted 2nd weekend in October) then go on the road to frick up Guilbeau’s boyfriend’s team the next weekend.

There is no night cap on ESPN that date. This is the only college football game they’re airing all day. They have playoff baseball every other slot,

The early game on fox is always featuring a huge and rowdy crowd. There is no reason it can’t happen at LSU too other than “that’s not how we like to do it”

Yeah, but they are below ESPN’s 11am kickoff in the pecking order,
