Actually, CFB Is second only to NFL in popularity. That's why bigger contract deals are being offered. Also, FOX and NBC are attempting to gain more tv rights to college football games. CFB is blowing up. The lockout only helped. I have more family and friends now that are following college football than ever before.

Another Factor is the playoffs in baseball at thge time LSU plays Bama. CBS doesn't want to go up against A WS game on Fox.

World Series has been pushed up to start Oct. 19th this year, so it won't go into November.

Bama will destroy Florida again. That should be good for the ratings....

Can you imagine if LSU & Bama are 1 vs 2 in the BCS, going into the game in ttown. Talk about a mindblowing game.

Seems to happen every few years in the SEC. But you never know, BAMA could lose by then. They have to get through two weeks against Arky and Florida on the road.

No. They have already picked Bama vs Florida

Why? Florida sucks donkey balls. I am guessing if you have #1 vs #2, that will change.

It's the game of the year by every major college football analyst & if cbs chooses the Fla game over LSU it's costing them. Since cbs is doing the game glad Todd Blackledge is doing the broadcast, seems he allways has favorable commits about the Tigers.

Blackledge moved to ESPN a few years ago.

CBS is Lundquist/Danielson.

I don't give a damn when we play those bastards. We owe them for the last time we were in Tuscaloser. Can't wait for this game.

Wouldn't we want this to be afternoon anyway?? It's always tougher to play at night anywhere you go!!

c'mon man!!

we have an aura. teams hate to play us at night. UF fans always want our game during the day even in their own stadium. take a look at our wins in the swamp in the last decade and what time we played them.

it's all psychological but still, other teams don't want us at night not even on the road.

I think its about WHEN teams play. If LSU and Bama played earliar in the season, the game would be in primetime. Another Factor is the playoffs in baseball at thge time LSU plays Bama. CBS doesn't want to go up against A WS game on Fox.

I have to disagree. Unless the Yankees or Sox are playing in the WS, no one cares...most especially if you have 2 top 5 teams from the SEC playing in prime time.

We are a football country first, and baseball country 3rd (at best).

Its still a gamble CBS would not take.

BUT The Bama -LSU game would only draw a BIG audience from the South and not the rest of the country compared to a ws game.

I dunno. If it were an NFL playoff game or Even an NBA championship game, I may buy it; but like I said, unless the Sox or Yankees are in it, it's not going to be a huge draw. I don't even think they would be fighting over the same demographic of people to be honest.
