Maybe he said exactly what he meant. Maybe his thinking is that Aranda has a better chance of developing a Heisman quarterback than any other coach on the team. And for LSU to win the defense needs to score 45 points a game. Last year the buzz over LSU's recruiting class had some predicting Myles Brennan would win the starting QB job before the end of the season. Now, a year later, the buzz is that LSU didn't sign a QB this year and it seems nobody has any faith in Myles Brennan. It's very rare that a true freshman QB beats out an older more experienced QB. Tebow didn't do it, Manziel didn't do it, Hodson didn't do it. That doesn't mean the freshman isn't any good. From watching Brennan this past season, you can see he has really good pocket presence, his eyes stay on his receivers downfield, he has the IQ and awareness a QB needs, he has a strong arm and is very accurate. Brennan has all the tools needed to be an extremely successful college QB. With the receivers in this recruiting class and the ones returning for next year, he just might put up some Heisman worthy numbers. I know one thing for sure, the defense he faces everyday in practice will be better than 85 percent of the defenses he faces in the games.

It's corrected in the source article.

A half-assed correction. The source article doesn't make sense anymore. All it did was change "Dave Aranda" to "Steve Ensminger."

whoever linked it from 247 is to blame. The Dodd article does not say that. It shows bots that change real articles are to blame for so much crap people see today...

Below is what is in the Dodd article. to saying Dodd is a great journalist, but the idiot from 247 should be to blame not Dodd

"With the world's first (college) .5 million offensive coordinator, familiar pressure returns to Baton Rouge. Coach O did a nice job of rescuing the season after the Troy loss. He gets Alabama and Georgia at home. But let's get serious, for that money Steve Ensminger better develop a Heisman quarterback and score 45 a game."

Nope. The article just got a half-assed update. The last thing you quoted doesn't even make any sense.

What the Heck is that! So Dave Aranda is now developing QB's. Interesting.

Yep. They just switched names after their frick up. Saying Ensminger needs to develop a QB because of his salary makes very little sense now. He’s just inside the Top 40 for highest paid assistants.

I linked it from 24/7 AND if you had taken the time to hit on the link I provided, you will see the comments as they appeared when I copied them. I did NOT change the article....but as someone earlier pointed out...CBS updated and corrected the comments. I accept your apology.

Ens should've been the qb coach a long time ago. I'm not sure how he will do implementing his own offense and calling plays but I'm sure he will do good things with developing our young qbs
