If his performance didn’t deteriorate over time, they’d have kept him. This is a convenient way to get out of his contract.

Personally I think him, Olsen, & Aikman are the best color guys in the business. Wouldn’t mind NBC replacing Collinsworth with him.

Watt is awful. Prime will pick up Romo with the quickness.

Tony seems like a cool guy. I’d have some drinks with him. Wouldn’t ride in a car with him though

He just needs a DD in the future, the body cam footage made me like him more. Seems like a fun guy.

Yep. There've been reports going back a few years that CBS has been unhappy with his work ethic and preparedness for games (or lack thereof) and that they regretted the contract they gave him (in part due to cost cutting that CBS and Paramount have been doing across their entire footprint). Romo gave them an out and they took it.

I'd rather he do the broadcasts because Watt sucks.

Disagree completely.

Collinsworth is the best color man in the business IMO with Olsen a close 2nd.

His delivery can be dry and he's not everyone's cup of tea which I completely understand, but his knowledge of situations and the game in general holds little peer.

romo really fumbled the bag badly.

JJ Watt is not very good though imo (too corny)...i don't see him lasting

Collinsworth has the same deficiencies that Gary Danielson had. They are great for 85% of the broadcast, but…

Both have preconceived ideas and biases before the game starts, and regardless of the play of the field they are determined to shoehorn in their biased narratives.

Gary Danielson is fine as long as he's not calling bammer games. biggest bammer homer in the country, he's shameless
