It's nice in one way that he has LSU fairly high (they should be a unanimous top ten), but to have Kentucky still way ahead of LSU makes no sense.
However, it's not surprising that people will probably care more about Kentucky beating Tennessee at home, than they do about LSU beating Kentucky on the road, and being in first place, while Kentucky is not.
Edit- I suppose the people downvoting me don't agree that LSU, having the same record, better conference record, better strength of schedule, and head to head victory ON THE ROAD should be ranked ahead of Kentucky.
Apparently, you folks have the same bias the pollsters do, or you just don't think it matters if pollsters have an actual criteria for their rankings.

Rothstein has liked LSU since preseason.
I think 11 or 12 is where Tigers deserve to be right now.
I expect 15 or 16.

It's as though UK's loss at home against LSU doesn't even matter?

They deserve top ten, but I'm expecting the Tigers to be at about 12th when the actual polls come out.
It looks like people are trying to give Kentucky credit for two wins this week. They STILL haven't bothered to just look a half second earlier to see Kentucky goaltending.

Completely dominating the #1 ranked team will do that for you.

Top 10 would be awesome but they’ll make us beat Tenn first before we break through.
Posted on 2/17/19 at 7:46 pm to LSUButt
we def won't be as fortunate if we happen to stumble against Florida before beating Tennessee.

Besides the fact that the game would have gone to OT.

Seth Davis had LSU unranked last week too

Tennessee, while deserving of being top ten, was not a true number 1. They played a not so tough schedule, and were #1 by default. The fact that Kentucky beat them at home, while once again having the benefit of a lot of calls, should not be weighted heavier than what LSU was able to do to Kentucky at their place.
Like I said a moment ago, they are basically treating it as if Kentucky won. They are giving LSU half credit, and Kentucky full credit, which is not even mathematically possible. These people have so little credibility.

Exactly. They keep forgetting that, conveniently, as well.

well so many national talking heads don't really consider the loss to LSU to be a loss bc of a "controversial no-call"

1 to many 1s Jon.
I'm sure it was just a typo
