Wow, it's almost like all coaches deal with these curveballs and unexpected situations. And the good ones still find ways to win.
It'll be year 8 and you'll be talking about how Kelly hasn't gotten a fair shot yet. Grow the frick up.

This year has been one huge failure.
We had a supposed elite oline and it’s shite the bed. The team got embarrassed by Aggy, bama and Florida. Another opening season loss.
Our offensive play calling is bad. Our defense took a step forward for a few games.
Offense - F, bad oline, can’t run, qb that struggles to get to 50 percent, kills team with turnovers, wrs drop the ball left and right outside of AA. Lacy has shown flashes but then still bad drops. Running back i guess can have a C since Durham has been awesome.
Defense -C they have played better outside of the Bama game. Our dline was getting pressure but it’s fading. Linebacker looked improved. Safety is a disaster
Special teams- F for the third straight year. We look like clowns on our fg unit. We have mental mistakes, we can’t hold the ball or snap it and Ramos has limited range. Our punting is so bad we can’t flip the field. We have bad coverage. The only thing we do well is kick off into the endzone.
Recruiting is now getting shaky as we lose our prize recruit and a key rusher. We gotta lock that up.
Overall extremely disappointed in Sloan being our OC it was a bad stupid move and should be corrected. Our prep for the opener and Bama was pathetic.
I also don’t like that BK has pretty much sapped us of toughness.
He needs to reboot this offseason.

Year 2 C for havib elite o and piss poor d and special teams
Year 3 F
I’d be concerned if BK doesn’t view this year as a failure and unacceptable
So it’s a C overall for his 3 years with a steady decline, bad d hire then bad o hire.
For the money and expectations we should have it’s not good but we can salvage it.

Dude, LSU gave up close to 500 total yds of offense to Ole Miss at home. Not mention Harris dropping that deep ball for a TD on the first drive.
LSU made the necessary stops in the 4th to stay in the game. Overall it wasn't a game to hang your hat on defensively.

Short story is Kelly missed his chance for a NC in Year 2 when he couldn’t field a decent defense. The O was unstoppable and it was there for the taking. He made that mistake in Year 1 when he hired House and again after Year 1 when he failed to recognize he was flawed and make a change.
Sad story because his next chance without Underwood is ‘28-29 at best, or maybe not ever.

Plenty of people thought LSU would win a title this season, plenty also thought that they would be in contention for a playoff spot, and then it was up in the air. Others were saying this team would be 8-4, 7-5, or even 6-6. The whole board NEVER agrees on anything, there were people here not wanting to fire O after those two horrible seasons.

If I had to grade off/def alone for This yr.
B, OFF simply because they have played well enough to win if we had anything resembling a defense. I ain't talking about the negatives. Bottom line is they played well enough to beat usc/fla and atm but we lost because we suck giant balls on defense.
F def. We just suck. There is nothing else to say. Say what you want , lsu D is terrible. Those who understand when I say we no "soldiers" on D. We soft, play with no heart and they are just not built talent wise to be a good D
That average is a D grade. My overall point is, that is completely unacceptable. frick the money, get a coach that will get it done. Until then , we just have a bunch of woke pansies in the athletic dept without any balls to make a move and make a change.
