The rumor I heard was that Ford missed a curfew in Atlanta during UNC week by a shitload, which pushed him to the end of the line.
The rumor I heard is he’s not as good as Ware. O wait, that’s not a rumor, it’s a fact.

Maybe he is lazy and Miles penalizes him?
I know Michael Ford and he is definitely not lazy - he may be having grade problems.

No doubt. If that kid is lazy, he's the laziest freak of nature I've ever seen. Kids problems are cerebral.

Ford had a pretty good year last year, most of you are underrating him

was Ware better than Ridley, in your opinion

If ware is so good why was Ridley starting over him?

This has never been mentioned I am just throwing it out here. Would you be mad if Ford transferred after this year if he did not get 7-8 carries a game?
Ford will get 10 or more touches/game this season, might see an even split with Ware.
I think that would be a real possibility, no reason to ride one guy unless he is just that much better than the rest. Blue is the guy that intrigues me the most, he is the wildcard for the number of carries ford and gore will get.

because I don't think Michael Ford did anything wrong last year and Ford has more experience
The hit on Ford during the spring last season was that he looked timid. Ware had no problems coming in and bowling people over on day 1.

And we'll have them BOTH in the backfield getting playing time.
I don't see a lot of two-back offense unless we run some option and/or shotgun stuff. If we go two-back, we're going to be in the Gun, or we're in the I formation. We might pull a tight end and send him in motion, having him come to a stop as a blocking back, maybe.
Kragthorpe ain't a two-back offensive guy. If we do run it, that will let you know right there that its all Les.

I don't know where you heard that. He sure as hell was the talk of the town after the spring game in 2010.

Ware is the best overal back we have without a doubt. He can run between the tackles, catch the ball, block, an bust a big play. To me it looks like Ford is soft and timid to take a hit, he's more of an outside runner.
I don't know how we are going to spread the PT with running backs this year. Gore needs touches in space a good bit because he can make plays IMO. And I think Blue is a Richard Murphy type back (3rd down back)

As a pure runner/receiver? Absolutely. Just needed some time to get the offense down. He'll be the best running back LSU has had since Faulk.

They'll both get plenty of reps. Ware just showed he is a special player and separated him self last year and over the spring.
Ford will do great things, and may even have a games better than Ware. We can only hope they compete and push each other.

Sorry, I meant to say his first spring practices. People on here that went to see the practices were saying that he didn't go through the drills with much confidence.

That wasn't a critique of Miles. I'm just saying that Kragthorpe hasn't ever run 2-back save for the time when he was trying to transition away or back towards Petrino's stuff at Louisville. They ran I-formation most of the time at Texas A&M, with some PA passing mixed in.
I'm not saying anything is wrong with Les. I'm just saying that he'll be the guy tinkering and/or designing the 2-back offensive sets, more than likely. Not saying Kragthorpe will have no sayso, just that its not his bag for the most part.

Me neither. I want some examples of how he's appeared timid to go between the tackles during games. I need some real-world reference points here.
