I love Garza, but I swear between he and Mathis, I don’t think I’ve ever seen the LSU catching position play so poorly in defense.

His 20+ HRs are what had me excited. We haven't had a good defensive catcher since Pap though.

And Gibbs and Ross. We had a great defensive catcher almost every year until last year.

This was my other thought exactly. It’s mind boggling to see the recruiting strategy at this position and many others.
