That would turn two defeats to victories?
It’s my opinion Evans shuts down down Texas up 5-2 and we go up 2-0. It’s also my opinion that there is a mental element to baseball and all other sports, and based on that phenomenon, Texas tightens up & LSU plays loose on Sunday, resulting in a sweep.
Based on past results that have led to this very outcome, I feel this line of reasoning is valid.

Cowan likely could pitch a few tomorrow if needed but Evans did his job tonight
Cowan isn’t pitching in game 3. Y’all did this same thing last weekend saying that Cowan might pitch on one days rest after throwing 60 pitches. It isn’t going to happen for a regular season Sunday game.

The Tiger bull pin doing their job this weekend at a high level. Congrats. Would have liked this performance in Austin, would have had different outcome. Hope it continues!

Evans put on an All American relief performance.
He deserves to start
He deserves to start

our Friday night guy next year. William Schmidt.
Not up for debate.
Very debatable.
Potentially -maybe, but what has he done to make it not up for debate?
Performance matters. Casan Evans is performing. Schmidt, not so much.

We will see if shores has better control of his curve ball today. He will eventually get that back and be lights out as well. We need our bats to stay hot and Frey seems to have it in the DH spot right now.

We won the series. We likely would have won the Texas series had Casan closed out game 2. Jay took a gamble and it paid off. We also have momentum going into game 3.
