I agree with you. Especially with the freakish type DE’s that rush the passer these days.

We did a really poor job recruiting OL in the portal. Even our C Moore is starting to get beat more often than not. We are going to need to make a significant investment in the OL or give Brad Davis his pink slip.

Curne is too stiff to play tackle right now but he’s a young guy and could get there with some work in the offseason. Seems like he could help more at guard this season. I really question our OL coach’s ability because Davis looks really bad and he’s had him for what 2 years now?

Curne will never be a legit OT in college. He's built and moves like a guard. Davis needs to quit screwing around and move him to guard. If the staff made a promise to him that he could play tackle, they have two choices. Let him waste away at OT or move him to guard in spite of his wishes.

With nil, early enrollments and the over all knowledge of what is expected of you, a player should be in shape or near shape by the beginning of fall.

If he’s not in shape by game four, I have visions of T Valentine.

And as always, this is a coaching problem. If these players respect the s&c and the coaches, the Coaches need to have these guys in shape.

If not, they need to prepare other guys to play that want to play.

He was the 2025 #3 IOL.
He should be playing guard!

I think that o-line conditioning is an issue.

I would offer SLU DT #2 a LSU scholarship for next season if he hit the transfer portal.

This. You can’t have the back getting to the point of attack before the pulling OL.
